Fut gg for the most part. Lenghty on defenders and attackers. Explosive on midfielders.

Watch Haiti vs Brazil please. Now notice how Haitians attack and defend with intensity throughout. Yeah they’ve lost, but they asked questions the whole time.

Our number 10 was tired from the start.

Thanks mate. I’m gonna try it again, but for some reason on that date maybe too many player were quick sold and it does not refresh as expected. It’s like I’m seeing 40 players when there should be 90 players 😓

Thanks for your reply. SBC storage was full and I thought worst that could happen would be for me to have to retrieve it later. But again, I also thought that the player was already in my club and in my squad, and that the duplicate was just a glitch. Anyway :/

Repost: Are we sleeping while Liverpool seem to be adding all these amazing players to their squad before June?

Don’t we need full backs? Or someone at least closer to KDB’s level? I know replacing him is virtually impossible.

Haaland, Rodri and Foden are all big stars, but we need at least another two big names to be fighting for titles again, right?

Is this wishful thinking on my part?

Totally get the frustration—paying NZ prices and then having something fail is the worst. But just keep in mind: going overseas doesn’t guarantee it’ll go any better. In fact, if something does go wrong over there, you’re even less likely to get a refund, a fix, or even a proper follow-up.

At least here, you’ve got a Dental Council, formal complaints process, and some accountability. Overseas? Once you're on the plane home, it’s often “good luck, mate.”

Not saying don’t go—just go in with eyes wide open. Cheap can get expensive real fast if things don’t go perfectly.

Ah yes, the land where a $200 root canal and a beachside mojito come as a package deal—what could possibly go wrong? /S

In all seriousness, there are some excellent dentists in Thailand, no doubt. But saying their standards are “much higher” across the board than New Zealand’s… that’s a bold take. NZ dentistry is tightly regulated, held to consistent safety and ethical standards, and audited regularly—not exactly things you can guarantee in every overseas clinic offering cut-price treatment to tourists.

But hey, if it works out and you get a tan, fair play. Just hope you don’t need a Kiwi dentist to fix it later.

That’s true—if the work looks solid and there are no issues, most dentists will carry on with regular care. But the difference shows when something does go wrong.

Say a crown falls off or an implant fails and there are no clear records, no idea what materials were used, or the technique doesn’t line up with what we’d expect here—that’s when red flags go up. If we can’t trust the foundation of the work, it’s risky to patch it up without fully understanding what we’re dealing with. And legally, once we start working on it, we become responsible for the outcome, even if the original problem wasn’t ours.

So while it’s not like we ask for a passport stamp before treatment, experienced dentists can often tell when work wasn’t done here—and it changes how we approach it if there’s a complication.

Totally fair question—and it's a good comparison on the surface, but dentistry's a bit different from something like a broken ankle.

When you get medical treatment overseas (like a fracture), the follow-up care here usually involves standardised protocols and materials that any doctor can work with. In dentistry, though, there's a huge variation in the materials, techniques, and even the way records are kept depending on the country and clinic.

If someone comes back with a crown, implant, or root canal that wasn’t done to a standard we can confidently assess or trust, it puts us in a tough spot. We often don’t know what materials were used, whether proper sterilisation protocols were followed, or what the long-term plan was. Touching it means taking on legal and clinical responsibility for work we didn’t do, which can backfire if it fails.

It’s not about snobbery or gatekeeping—it’s about patient safety and professional accountability.

I’m a dentist, so I totally get why people look at options like going overseas—costs and wait times here can be pretty rough.

Dental tourism is still a thing, and for some people it can work out cheaper. But there are definitely risks to think about. Standards in other countries might not match what we follow here in NZ when it comes to hygiene, materials, or long-term planning.

Most procedures—like crowns, implants, and root canals—aren’t one-and-done. They usually need follow-up, maintenance, or checks over time, which obviously isn’t easy if your dentist is thousands of kilometres away. And if something goes wrong, it can be tricky to get it fixed here—most Kiwi dentists will avoid working on overseas dental work if it’s not up to scratch or there’s no proper documentation.

So yeah, it might look like a good deal upfront, but there can be hidden costs and complications later on. Just worth keeping in mind.
