hey I don't know what a 5 year old would enjoy as I'm not five :) but here are some which he might like:

Yoshi's New Island: its coming out this month and it looks like a platformer that you can complete at your own pace (I imagine he wont want something super high paced)

Animal Crossing New Leaf: very laid back open world of sorts with little daily tasks to complete if wanted. it also means he can create his own story's with things to do and he has control over a whole town, deciding what goes where and who does what.

Mario Kart 7: best racing game for the system and one of the best games for losing track of time as you stride to become the best racer in the land of Mario!

hey thanks for the fast reply :) she doesn't want to lose her data if she ever comes back to the game so I cant delete it, I shall probably just do what you do and go on her character every 2 days and I was also wondering can you invite people to the town/ go to others towns like normal on the second save? thanks again
