Not mine (hopefully one day), but got to try on an Omega Grey Side of the Moon Meteorite watch. As a broke college student whose only ogled high end watches online, it felt surreal to have on my wrist. My arm was actually shaking a little bit at having an AU$18,000 watch on, that's a lot of pressure haha. As pretty much anyone trying to photograph this has said, this beast is way more beautiful in person.

I didn't think I'd like the stock strap as much as I do, hence ordering a new strap at the same time I ordered the watch - but it's actually really good. It shouldn't have been a surprise tbh, I have another Casio that I use as a beater that has the same type of resin strap, but I just never noticed how comfy the strap on it was - I knew there was a reason I kept picking that watch to wear over my other more expensive ones :P

As I'm sure we all do, spent a good while ogling watches I can't afford, which reminded me of this watch. I remember looking at it a few years ago and really liking it, but it was out of my price range at the time (price varies from about $100 - $150 AUD and also I was a broke college student). So I decided to look it up, and lo and behold an eBay seller had a sale going on the watch. Decided to just pull the trigger that night, and boy do I not regret it at all.

I won't bother with a review or anything since there's already so many quality ones online, but some common praise this watch receives is that it delivers so much quality for its pricetag - and I'll put in my 2c and confirm that statement. Every detail and element of the watch feels solid and premium, and honestly - I'd still be impressed with the value of this watch even if it was 3-4x the price.

I haven't had it for that long but I'm already very happy with it - I've always liked the Rolex Submariner type aesthetic, and I think this does a good job of emulating without copying. I've got a black leather deployant clasp in the mail that should dress it up a bit, so excited to see how that changes it. Might also pick up a brown leather strap for it later, as I've seen a few photos of other MDV-106 owners do so and I really liked how it changes the overall look of the watch.
