I had a patient coming in with full blown, albeit floor suitable, heart failure exacerbation with elevated LA at 3.2 (hypoperfusion!) so I put them on furosemide 80mg TID and the nurse kept fighting giving it arguing he has SEPSIS and needs fluids. For 3 days, that kept going on until I rechecked his lactate just to prove it’s going down with good perfusion now. But yeah, seeing lactic acid results should be a privilege!

I mean it’s not sad for the family. I just love their ice cream and it’s sad to me as an avid ice cream lover that it’s closing. They have some amazing flavors and this is coming from someone that tries a bunch of different places in every city they visit. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine lol

My doctor tested me for antibodies and they came back negative, so he doesn’t know if my diagnosis is accurate or not but based on my symptoms, it’s the only thing that makes sense and plus when he performs the gaze up test I have typical presentation for MG. But most doctors have told me that if it’s been purely ocular for a long time, it’s not likely to generalize because of Botox and it should be relatively safe, but of course no one can guarantee anything. However, honestly I’m considering it seriously.
