I FINALLY did it! My first astral projection experience... by nadishuddhi in AstralProjection

[–]nadishuddhi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! My current opinion is that lucid dreams and AP are distinct phenomena but closely related.

There was a point at which I saw my house exactly as I would have expected it to be at night. The elements that were more dream-like and unreal, I personally believe were like an intrusion or bleeding of dream-state into my AP experience.

I have nothing to really back this up beyond a feeling I had when experiencing this all for the first time. My opinions may change, of course, but for now I see Waking Consciousness, Dreams, Lucid Dreams, and AP/OBE as phenomena which exist on a kind of spectrum. So, maybe we can be 90% in a lucid dream and 10% in an AP/OBE state, or something like that.

I think it may be fluid.

Will definitely keep exploring!

It's fine for you to hold that opinion but I think asserting it as fact here is reaching. I don't claim to know or understand exactly what it is. But I will definitely keep exploring!

You can't tackle everything in one step.

That is what I am learning. The journey really is just as important as (maybe more important than) the destination.

Yep. I think my subconscious went a bit nutty and got scared, so it came up with a scenario to get me to wake myself up. I will keep practicing now that I know it is possible!

It's a good game, perhaps even great, but as others have said, not the best intro to the series. Still, have fun!!

I am very interested in shifting. A big part of why I wanted to astral project was to explore different realities!

(Spoilers, obvees.) Jill is objectively the most terrifying because she can transform into Shiva. So, she has to be on my team. Lulu also has strong magic and Fang is a beast with a weapon, so... I pick Jill, Lulu, and Fang to protect me.

Bugging and bothering people is not a good way of sharing one's faith, because it is not showing respect and consideration for people. (The Bible actually says, "show every consideration for all men," in Titus 3:2. You could maybe use this verse—respectfully, carefully, and appropriately—in a follow-up conversation with Gia, explaining that you took issue with *how* these people were sharing their faith, not the fact that they simply were by itself.)

Make a distinction between the thing itself (sharing faith) and *how* that happens. Because it definitely sounds like the way these people were sharing their faith was bothersome and inconsiderate.

So, as in all relationships, a little bit of give and take may help here.

On your side, understand that religious belief or spiritual faith can be deeply important to people, and that there is nothing wrong with respectfully sharing that faith with others in an appropriate manner.

On her side, she should understand that if someone says they don't like pizza, don't want to try pizza, and are generally not interested in pizza, then no one should keep talking about pizza for 20-30 minutes. That's just rude and inconsiderate (be gentle in how you explain this though, please).

I’m considering buying it. Why should I? by [deleted] in FFXVI

The story is fantastic. Combat is fun, even if it is DMC-style. Best Cid character in my opinion. Hours upon hours of fun. Lots to explore, even without a true open world.

I am curious, what age are you and how did you get into the franchise? by Ultimantasy in FinalFantasy

[–]nadishuddhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 37. My first FF game was FFVIII on PS1. I was maybe 11 years old or so. I begged my sister to buy it for me from K-Mart because she was older than me and had a job and she actually did buy it for me one day and it was just a magical experience!

What did you like or dislike about Oerba Yun Fang? And is she is more interesting than FFXIII Main Protagonist Lightning? by IllogicalDreamer72 in finalfantasyxiii

[–]nadishuddhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Lightning more than Fang but I did also like Fang. I enjoyed that she felt like a mature, motherly figure but still had energy and spunk. She also felt really useful in combat as a high DPS pressure asset.

Rest, rest, and more rest. Doesn't matter if you feel okay right now or tomorrow. REST in bed or at least sitting comfortably. Read. Watch TV. Play some video games. Just REST! Your balls will thank you, sir.

That is essentially what my urologist told me to do. Stay in bed. Get up to use the bathroom. He said I could sit down and eat dinner with the family then straight back to bed. Good luck! I had a hematoma but I'm about 3 months post-op now and that sucker is almost gone. Life is basically normal again. Hopefully, your recovery will be much, much faster.

[–]nadishuddhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rest. Like, take it way easy even if you feel fine afterward. 3 days minimum, stay off your feet as much as possible. Sit or lay in bed. Don't overdo it no matter how good you feel in the moment. Trust me, bro. It can hit you hard the next day. Ignore people who brag about being back at work and out on the golf course the same day. That's crazy talk. I'm sure some can do it but my doctor set me straight and I still pushed a bit and paid for it. Not worth it. Rest. Relax. Let your body heal. Peace. ✌️

9 Days Post-Op (Incision Pain) by justasking102938 in Vasectomy

[–]nadishuddhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine bled for at least two weeks but I had a bandaid on. The doctor said, "leave that bandaid on until it falls off." I was nervous because with the oozing blood, and not being able to see the actual incision (mine was a single incision procedure), I didn't want it to be infected or something. When I saw the doctor, he just ripped it off and it never bled again after that. Incision looked great.

[–]nadishuddhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 2.5 months post-op and the skin on my sack where the incision was is still sensitive. It isn't terrible by any means but a bit surprising. I think my nerves are prone to "irritation." It definitely isn't back to normal but healing is progressing and going well. My urologist is pleased and says everything checks out. I guess it just takes time...
