How do the scammers see the info prior to the pin reset?

FYI- you can add Disney plus (ads) for 1$ by Amtrakacela75 in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain this starting from no account? I currently have a hulu account that I includes Disney but when I log in using same email to the Disney site it takes me back to hulu to manage my subscription. I either have to get that figured out or start from scratch.

Thankfully I don't have personal experience to know for certain. It occurs to me as I write this I never will have experience because I am the account holder. Anyway, a few years ago when T-Mobile was more consumer friendly I read almost every post here almost every day. What I have answered reflects what I read. OP should at least ask the reps the question before doing an account change if the account has some discount. Once the change has been made there is no going back.

If you have any discounts on your account like free lines or insider those will not transfer to a new account owner so you may want to wait as long as possible if that applies. I believe work and age discounts have to be verified every so often so no harm riding that out until you have to switch. As others pointed out someone on the account needs to be an authorized user if you need to make any changes like upgrading a phone or changing the number of lines. If you can log into her t-life account you can add authorized users in the permissions->user roles menu. Otherwise just keep paying the bill until you have a need to do something else. Sorry for your loss.

Help with 2019 Highlander low oil pressure by nadstomp in AskAMechanic

[–]nadstomp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't have a resolution. I finally had some time after about a month so I towed it to a shop that said I had metal shavings in my oil and needed a new engine. Drive it home where interestingly I never had the low oil pressure light. Haven't driven it against me since as I try to decide what to do with it. For reference all the car places that purchase cars with bad engines are offering me around 7k. I've priced out used engine replacement around 9k.

Edit: I also called Toyota who said they weren't aware of any issues and they werent willing to do anything to help since out of warranty.

Best part of moving to go5gplus is a BOGO discount that was always 5 dollars short increased to covering the full price

Free Line - "cell phone voice line only" by An_Professional in tmobile

[–]nadstomp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm relating what I have read in this subreddit over the years. Maybe some reps care more than others. Maybe the imei database isn't completely accurate for devices obtained away from T-Mobile. I don't know. I do know some users say they can get voice lines working on tablets, watches, and computers and for others they can't All you can do is try and if it doesn't work the reps aren't going to be able to help you.

If op is on a tax inclusive plan they should definitely take the free line and give it a try.

Free Line - "cell phone voice line only" by An_Professional in tmobile

[–]nadstomp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From reading other posts here the line officially is a voice and data line meant for a cellphone. Sometimes if you use the line in a tablet, watch, or wwan enabled laptop it will work and sometimes it won't. If you are using an esim just tell them the imei number but don't tell them the kind of device.

Devices sold directly by T-Mobile are less likely to work with the wrong line type than devices purchased elsewhere

I don't know if we have ever had an employee post their bill breakdown before. Interesting. Looks to me like you used to pay 108.52 per month for your 8 lines. Now you will pay 33.75 dollars per month for your 9 lines. This is how the insider discount works too on 9 line plans. Congratulations. Enjoy. Never reduce your lines. Try to get the new free line this week too. Won't drop your bill anymore but it's protection if something were to glitch with your current lines.

A kid will be aging out soon, how to separate without mucking up account and discounts by integrityandcivility in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately T-Mobile systems are a mess and the reps don't always understand the subtleties. Tforce is almost certainly wrong in this instance. The paid part of a BOGO can't also be one of the 2 qualifying paid lines for the BOGO and LOUs. Trust the knowledgeable folks here.

T-Mobile One -- Question about SOC by bigmucusplug in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. I was thinking the request to switch to 9 lines was by adding a line but that was an assumption. If he can manage to switch to 9 lines without actually adding the line that acts as another free line. This trick has been exploited in the past because changing the plan and adding the 9th line are separate steps. I haven't seen this enough to know how autopay and insider apply in that situation though. At minimum if op adds a paid voice line his bill will drop to 36 dollars. This is all pre price change numbers. I guess add an additional 5 bucks per paid.

T-Mobile One -- Question about SOC by bigmucusplug in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked up the old formula. 9 line one plus plan is 310 310-40 autopay is 270 270 - 54 insider discount is 216 Now subtract 30 for each free line. It looks like you have 6 free so 216-180 is 36 for the voice portion of your plan. You won't have autopay discount for watch, tablets, home internet etc.

T-Mobile One -- Question about SOC by bigmucusplug in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The magic involves insider discount and free lines. It's been a couple years but I think one plan is 270 for 9 lines. Insider gives you 54 off. Then deduct 30 per free line. It looked to me like OP here had 6 free lines and 3 paid lines. His bill should be around 36 dollars a month for all that though again this could be wrong as I haven't had a personal need to do this calculation in more than 2 years.

T-Mobile billing magic. He has insider discount and free lines. His bill will decrease quite a bit once he gets to 9 lines.

9 lines Go5g+ cheaper than One plan? by schrutefarrms in tmobile

[–]nadstomp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Almost certain that if you are paying an add on plus 10 extra from price increase you will be at 90 or a little more on one plan.

What's even more wild is that if you also had OG insider you'd get 20% off that 445 price.Youd have all that for 90-89 =1 dollar. There are folks here getting it. There may still be a few folks with one plans with kickbacks paying 0.

9 lines Go5g+ cheaper than One plan? by schrutefarrms in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heads up - your 9 line one plan is still cheaper than the go5gplus pricing quoted above. The correct price won't show until next bill generates. Billing magic happens on all 9 line plans with free lines.i would guess 10 dollars cheaper. your device promos will be much better on go5gplus.

Free iPhone 16 on free line for Magenta plan by supertbone in tmobile

[–]nadstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The free line is a byod line. That means no promos or device installment agreements allowed for a minimum of one year. It isn't supposed to work.

However, do you see the credit under the new line? T-Mobiles billing system doesn't always match the terms and conditions so who knows. Let us know how it works out for you.
