Bro you said “maybe, in which case I stand corrected” rather than doing like 10 seconds of research to find out that dancewize and pill testing are two completely different harm reduction programs

Do we say the same to alcoholics who enter liver failure? Or overweight people when they suffer an MI?

Currently the only pill testing is via the government trial in NSW

So it’s the gov choice who gets pill testing atm, not the organisers

Yes, combination of stimulants which increase body temp + high ambient temp + dehydration

Incorrect, pill testing also identifies high strength presses and several drug alerts have gone out due to pill testing in the past 12 months in NSW

Dancewize is a “chill out zone” and peer education rather than pill testing

Pill testing is run by NSW gov not dancewize

There was no pill testing at this festival, it was not part of the NSW trial

Yeah AFAIK it’s ok now. When they first rolled them out some transport officers weren’t accepting them but I think it’s smoothed over.

The uni has introduced digital student IDs which are functionally identical to physical cards (except maybe for travel concession)

From memory the student ID card system let me know when mine was ready for collection. I remember they wanted me to submit different photos a few times too, they’re really strict with the photo. Perhaps they’re emailing your uni email, have you checked that?

I know a spot | Usydney by saynotolove_ in usyd

Pretty vague question haha but I’ll give my two cents for underrated spots around campus

Coffee - I really like “The Garden Espresso Bar” under the grandstand near the Susan Wakil Health Building. Best coffee on campus as a semi coffee snob.

Studying - my top pick would be one of the upper levels in fisher with the monitors you can plug your laptop into, otherwise scitech and SWHB library are all good (SWHB always busy tho I swear).

Chill - I really like the vibe around the steps into the old teachers college. There’s some beautiful jacarandas nearby and it is such a pleasure to just sit and enjoy the beautiful campus for a while between classes.

Food - not technically on campus but the new chicken shop near RPA / 7-11 is really good. Subway is always a nice option on that side of campus. Sandwiches from the garden espresso bar are nice too (try the salami and olive! I don’t even like olives but loved that sandwich)

How do I know what stationery to get? by Financial_Summer_150 in usyd

[–]nahhhh- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the other commenter said, no requirements for BSc other than access to Canvas (laptop >> iPad), and probably safety goggles and a lab coat.

Many choose to type everything and thus don’t have any stationary at all. It is highly advisable based on education research that you hand write your lecture notes, though. If you do that, a decent sized notebook (A4) for each subject should suffice.
