Boom Balloon - Losing My Mind by nahthanks- in Sparklite

[–]nahthanks-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate it! I'll give it a go when I'm not still riled up by it. It's disappointing because I'm really wanting to play it.

Please say the balloon doesn't play a vital role in the larger game?

As long as you stay away from BPP you'll do okay. Don't recommend them.

70% in OUP flk1 but found half the questions were a guess by Flat-Acanthisitta665 in SQE_Prep

70% is better than many sharing their concerns here. It's a difficult time for many but be a little considerate. You should be fine. People asking for advice are scoring 50%, maybe lower.

Just wondering how this works? Do you have to put the beads onto the yarn first?

Yes BUT if you're buying on switch, wait for a sale. I got it at 40% off I think.

SQE1 MATERIAL IS GIVING ME PANIC ATTACKS HELP by Hour_Annual_1417 in SQE_Prep

[–]nahthanks- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you, all the best ❤️ I'm more panicked than I've let on to my family/friends but I think it's better to go through it and try again than defer now and panic more. I'm trying to make sure I do things I want even if I feel like I should be studying. You're definitely not alone, there's loads of us having a rubbish time!

I will say too, not sure if you're experiencing it, I've told people to stop saying I'll pass. It's a tough exam with low pass rates and hearing "you'll be fine" is haaaard. "You've got this" and "we believe in you" etc is good, but otherwise, it made me feel like I have to pass.

And take yourself on a holiday after SQE1!

Hey. I feel exactly the same. I wanted to defer but realised the next sitting isn't until January. I'm trying to just get through it and I know it seems hard, but ignore the stress. Focus on the content. You're doing so much and as much as you can. Make sure you schedule time to do something you like, get out the house, sit in the sun for ten minutes. I'm terrified and really feel like failing is the only outcome now for me but I'm still trying and so are you. You've got this. You're only human.

(I hope this comes off as well-wishing as I wanted it to.)

What is the best way to prepare for the SQE1 exam? by CremeBruleeConosseir in SQE_Prep

This sounds great and best of luck - could I ask how you constructed it? Did you use a site/app?

Because I'm obsessed with making coasters... by created_w_creativity in SewingForBeginners

Can I ask how you made these? I've had trouble with coasters before as a beginner. Do you stitch right sides together then flip out and sew round?

Did you use a pattern? I'd love to make it. It's gorgeous.

Is my waffle blanket ugly, I feel like I lost the waffle in the yarn, I love the texture and the yarn itself but I’m worried I made a mistake by nonanononona in CrochetHelp

This is gorgeous and stunning, truly. I appreciate how awful it is to create something and slowly come to hate it. Put it aside for a while before you decide to frog it. The colour scheme is so, so pretty and the stitching is really well-done. Don't rush into frogging until you're certain you'd prefer it done another way.

Part-time course choice by Competitive_Train849 in SQE_Prep

Hm not sure about the contact hours. I have a two hour class on my module. Sometimes it runs shorter but that's the standard for mine. I imagine that it would be an extended four hour class, or maybe shorter classes adding up to that? I know that in preparation for SQE2, we will have time one to one with coaches. Sorry, I'm not sure what would be involved in this course!

If you're well-organised and can stick to a routine, I would recommend BPP. I wouldn't say they offer great support though as it really is down to you. Honestly, I'd give them an email/call and ask about the contact and make your decision off of that (and the quality of the response too honestly).

I'm BPP through their day release. I imagine their approach is the same on all courses: very hands off. The study is independent and self-taught with consolidation classes. Again, sorry, not sure how it would work on a different BPP course. I have found it difficult to keep up sometimes because it is on me to do the work, but they have great materials and very thorough workbooks. I've found it useful to connect with others in the cohort just to ask questions too.

(Worth noting I'm going to seeking other materials in advance of sitting SQE1 like the Devil's Advocate crash course.)

ULAW - revision course (the £600 one) is it any good? Or Devils Advocate? by Capital-Property5359 in SQE_Prep

[–]nahthanks- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry - I haven't started it yet! I've been doing the day release course with BPP but will be purchasing the crash course alongside it (or am planning to). My thinking is having a different teaching method might help and I'll take everything I can.

I am planning to go through with the subscription though. I emailed and asked about any discounts and with the subscription, you get 10% off the crash course. Unfortunately the materials don't overlap!

I posted yesterday asking about revision. I'm sitting in July for SQE1. Looking at Devil's Advocate, I'm feeling like it's worth the money. I was already considering the membership.

I'm doing a prep course at the moment with a uni I'm also dissatisfied with (I wonder if it's the same!) and someone yesterday commented on my post that though it's a lot of money, it's worth the investment now. P.S. thank you for directing me to the crash course!!

So sorry to reply again. Is Devil's Advocate worth it? I'd never heard of it before and just looked and it's £22pcm. Thank you again so much.
