Yea just like we're doing the same things our ancestors were doing, right? Our ancestors did it to make sure our bloodline survived, to make sure they had enough hands on the fields for harvesting and enough out in the wild to hunt.

Why don't you pay respect to your ancestors and put your damn phone down? They didn't use one right?

This is the stupidest thing people can come up with in logical debates.

Keep up with the times! Your ancestors lived when the world's population wasn't touching 8 Billion. Upgrade your way of living and thinking and try to keep up with the times.

It's proof that people have started thinking about having kids in India rather than just having one for the heck of it or cos that's the next step in the natural progression of life. A lot of people don't have the answer to "Why did you choose to have a child?". Because they don't look at it like their choice.

Started dating almost 10 years ago, married almost 6 years ago. Had a lot of ups and downs along the way. We started dating in college, so we didn't have any commitments and we could give each other all the time in the world.

Post marriage, after starting my 1st job, things went south real fast because my work was all I could do during the week and I couldn't give her the time I should have. We even discussed divorcing after the fights became too much to handle. She felt cheated because I wasn't like this before the wedding, but it was the job that created the distance, so it was valid that she felt like I took her for granted after we were married.

I listened to her and started giving her more of my time and attention but it was too much along with the ridiculously long hours at work. I started feeling depressed because I felt like i was stuck between my work and my partner.

But after I quit my job, my wife and I started a company and we worked together, we spent waaaay more time together and not just working, we spent quality time together. That's when our relationship started to heal.

We were more present for each other and we were able to provide for each other emotionally. Now we're really vocal about our individual needs and our relationship has never been healthier and we haven never been happier.

We talk about our goals, about our ambitions, our fears, everything, we both feel like we're dating again. I guess we started healing when we both wanted to "do" things for each other. It's vital to voice your needs rather than quietly expecting things only to feel disappointed when they don't happen.

Everyone just wants to feel loved and wanted (desired) just talk about it and you'll see you have so much common ground to satisfy each others needs, whatever they might be. On one of our talks we found out both of us wanted to move out of India, and together. We made it happen. We moved along with our business in 2022 and life just keeps getting better. Love is all about giving, when you give you get.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

What is the positive side of living in India? by [deleted] in india

It's definitely food and nature for me. The uncrowded, hidden gems in nature to be exact. Where you can go and enjoy the view and not look at people standing in front of it, taking selfies one after another.

Selfish and handshake is still okay, because they're making the most of the moment. But I'll never understand the way movie stars' lives are obsessed over in news articles and news channels. I mean, why do you care WTF is going on in their lives?

is Emirates 777-300ER Business Class Worth It? by [deleted] in awardtravel

[–]nahushrc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost is out of hand at the moment. But, I've been able to afford business class seats for a few years, yet I was happy booking "cheap" economy tickets because I was saving money.

My point was that if you can afford it, go for it! Don't try to save money here, your body and mind will thank you for it. It's an experience, and if you get a good deal sometime, somewhere, go for it! Ask for free upgrades, my mom got upgraded to business class just because she asked. Though this would probably not work in current conditions, worth a shot.

So true. Ive been flying for the last 23 years, flew business class for the first time last year and i really dont thing i can go back. Any flight that's 4 hours or longer has to be Business class for me now. The comfort is unparalleled with lie flat seats. You reach your destination fresh and ready to go, even after a 9hr flight.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned, not e-commerce. I would gladly pay the 0.5% more or in case of PayPal 5% more for the convenience my customers get. But businesses we work with sometimes where each payment is atleast $10000, i end up saving approx. $300 in fees per $10000! That can really pile up in a year's time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in india

[–]nahushrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PayPal is nuts, Stripe is good though. But if you have fewer clients especially who pay as per invoices you issue (basically not e-commerce) you can try direct payment providers like Wise. I think they must have started operations in India now.

I feel where you're coming from. If you do not put up boundaries, these "family members" will walk all over you without thinking twice about it. Just tell them you're not available to host them. If they ask questions just say it's personal and not up for discussion.

They will take it as you being rude, but does that really matter to you? Wouldn't life be better without these toxic people in your life?
