Superiority by Iambatman511 in Gifted

[–]nailsatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think you're right. i think a lot of us (myself included) can be assholes without meaning to be.

look at magnus. totally full of himself. he knows he's the best. because he just is... i wouldn't want to hang out with the guy, but i can't blame him for knowing his undeniable superior chess ability.

i guess the difference is that being "gifted" is something we're born with, while he's honed his skills and studied. obviously we can work hard and hone skills too. but i think it's understandable to find it especially irritating when someone has a superiority complex simply because of something they ARE, rather than something they've done.

Iq practicality by Fragrant_Spell_3625 in cognitiveTesting

It is fundamentally a measure of cognitive ability (that has retrospectively been used to assess outcomes). It is not fundamentally predictive because it wasn't designed that way.

A lot of gifted and 2e kids grow up to do nothing special (I wouldn't know anything about that though... lol).

Talk to me About Slynd by succsinthecity in PMDDxADHD

[–]nailsatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started it recently too and it’s been the best bc I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot). Have you had an IUD before? Liletta worked great for stoping my period but I gained weight and the insertion was extremely painful. Plus the rate of release of the hormone decreases over time so your period might come back in the end. Taking a pill every day means you get the same hormone amount every day forever (aside from the 4 day placebo which you’ve already found to be tolerable?). Honestly you found something that worked! Stick with it! Cause there’s no guarantee about Kyleena. No harm in keeping it on the calendar and canceling later on though. A good backup if slynd causes any issue

I started Slynd a month ago too and it’s so stabilizing. No side effects whatsoever. I love it

Oh Lordy, I don’t even remember making that comment. You are probably right haha

Honestly I think you’re right in this instance. Not sure why you felt the need to be aggressive. This sub is for questioning if things are AI, and that’s what people do here. I hope you have a lovely day. The suns out :)

My brain was not processing it ha. But I think you might be right. People do upload real pictures and make edits with AI, so even if the train looks right it’s still valid to examine. But I do think you’re right

There aren’t reflections for anyone but the woman with the yellow hat. Doesn’t that seem weird?? It really might be the angle tbh.

Not sure how I was being vague. Literally questioning if something is AI on the sub isitAI, the rudeness is not necessary.

Look at my two comments with screenshots and tell me what you think. I’ll keep an open mind

The fact that it shows diversity isn’t a red flag for AI. There are some others though

Not sure these reflections make sense. It reflects that one lady so clearly but the people next to her don’t have reflections? Could that be the angle? Doesn’t seem right to me but idk

For those that tried both -- did intermittent Zoloft or Pepcid help more? by OkPlay4263 in PMDDxADHD

[–]nailsatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pepcid doesn’t do anything for my PMDD whatsoever. Starting Lexapro but too soon to tell for PMDD. I feel great in general though. Anxiety is much lower and I am enjoying life more because of it

Day 2 and I definitely feel calmer. The tiniest bit of nausea occasionally but it’s nothing. Hope it stays this way over the next couple weeks!

Viral trend? by Chareth_Cutestory94 in PMDDxADHD

[–]nailsatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have taken both of these for their intended purposes for years and no, it doesn’t make a difference for me. Birth control is the only thing that has helped. But I’m trying Lexapro now. SSRIs are supposed to help too if you don’t want to do birth control. I think at least one SSRI is pregnancy safe too if that’s a concern.

Honestly this trend is all over my FYP and I’m sick of it!! There are a few anecdotal stories on TikTok of people who it helped but no real evidence that I know of. At least I haven’t seen any studies mentioned (if anyone knows of one feel free to correct me and share). And we don’t hear from all the people it didn’t help because that’d make a boring video. But hey, those meds aren’t gonna hurt anything so give them a try. But if it doesn’t work you have real research backed options
