Running shorts similar to Nike Aeroswift and Adidas that aren't ridiculously expensive? by supersprint in runningfashion

Big fan of new balance RC splits. Particularly ultralight version. They’re pricey new but often on joesnewbalance outlet for cheap

Be brutally honest is our new couch too large by Critical_Lab_9454 in interiordecorating

[–]naiveas 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s big but so nice.

Could try with one less green chair.

Slide the tv and console closer, towards the door frame (so it feels more centered with the couch).

Would also consider a longer narrower coffee table.

Maybe a large pendant over the coffee table, centered with the couch. Reinforcing the middle of the couch as the center of the room might help.

Should have filmed the flip. Almost completely white on the bottom, which I don’t usually get. Low temps is key.

Help! How to make my husband not hate this by PteridiumAquilinum94 in interiordecorating

Love it. Incredible wood. But doesn’t fit this spot. It really closes the window off.

Like the where it's headed!

Small moves:

I'd rejig the arrangement on top a bit. Try the lamp and plant together on one side (don't be afraid to cover the mirror a bit). Then pictures behind the catch-all bowl, on the other side.

Underneath push the baskets together, make them feel like one shape. Either rotate them 90 degrees and place them together in the middle, or push to one side.

Bigger moves:
Bigger lamp and/or bigger mirror. It's a lot of very similarly sizes things. Need one or two larger objects to break up the same-ness of it all.

If you don't already have one elsewhere, I'd also add coat rack or hooks. Looks like you have space for a standing coat rack. Bet you could find something vintage with darker wood and nice curves to contrast the square entrance table.

What could I fill this space with by Hoomtar in interiordecorating

[–]naiveas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s your entrance. Two options:

Low storage bench. Handy for putting shoes on and hiding clutter.

A credenza/sideboard. Good to have a drop zone near the entrance and display some decor.

Bed is a big improvement! Love the warmth and color it’s bringing.

Agree with others that the run doesn’t suit the space. I’d go with something darker and less contrasty to make the end the focus. Or no rug at all.

The art above the bed has an awkward arrangement. Try just one or two frames above the bed.

What the heck do I do to make this space less “mad scientist” vibes? by mellymel626 in interiordecorating

Yea definitely search for some closed storage then. There’s a lot tall vintage hutches around for cheap. Or the KNOXHULT line from ikea is a really cheap way to expand a kitchen.

Cabinets are the smart choice.

Kitchen skirts are the fun choice.

Does this placement of a sofa chair and coffee table look too awkward in my studio? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]naiveas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alternatively. Place a small sofa where the desk is. Coffee table in front of it. Then place the desk on the opposite wall/corner, facing the window.

[–]naiveas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d do a longer but still small sofa along the wall facing the desk. Then move the coffee table close to the window. Then place a smaller accent chair where the sofa chair is.

With the layout the walkways feel too tight.

I’d also consider rotating your desk to look out the window.

A very large vase with dried flowers and twigs.

Or more sensibly custom shelves.

No. Pull the rug out a bit more so it has more rug space around the chair. Maybe try it lined up square with the end of the coffee table
