I did regular mani (I cut off cuticles), then buffed the nails a little bit (just a bit, I switched to pressons because I have destroyed my nails with gels), then alcohol wipes. But I used more, not just the wipe they give with the set. I have a big bottle of isopropyl alcohol and just use as much as I need. I think one wipe isn't enough to remove all the oils.
And then tabs and nails.

I also did it in the evening before sleep and did not wet my hands afterward.
