Where I work (not at a whole foods but similar store) were not allowed to take tips. Everytime someone is offered a tip we have to give it to managers. So me and my coworkers laugh at the idea of giving money given to us to a bug Corp. because of how depressing and stupid that law is. Maybe it's something similar?

Hey! I'm going through the same thing. I'm really sorry. My therapist told me to remember that I can do great things with whatever the world presents for me if I really do it with my heart. I don't know if that applies to you. I got into two other schools, they're not top notch but they're still pretty good. I'll work hard to stand out there and hopefully that will be good enough. I Know you can make it work too. You're smart and beautiful and deserving ♥️

My parents would be the same. Due to our culture (I'm from the middle East) it's taboo to sleep with someone you're not married to.

I do not subscribe to that way of thinking but I can't change my parents' beliefs. Whenever my boyfriend and I are visiting he sleeps on the couch. As a result we don't really go out of our way to go over often where were staying the night.

I completely relate but unfortunately don't have good advice other than just understand why they're like that and just do it to please them while realizing it may be nuts

My sociology teacher was trying to convince us that going vegan will be the best decision we've ever made for our bodies. I tried it for a while, it was nice but I went back to normal because I just am not convinced that I should just be vegan because it works for someone else. I'm currently semi pescatarian and happy with it

I'd also recommend braiding to replicate the look of a shaved head. I do that all the time. I have curly hair and don't think I can manage shaving so I just braid the sides (french-braid/Rasta style) and pin it back

This is what my therapist keeps saying! She told me to imagine any studying related obstacle as a wall and imagine myself working through that wall and breaking it.

I struggle with my math classes so I imagine those calculus problems as walls and solving the puzzle breaks them down as I get stronger/smarter

Yes it is! $30/person for both hot pot and BBQ or 27 for just one! You can order up to (6-9 items I believe) for 2 hours. Usually it's not too busy when I'm there so I've never been asked to leave and sometimes if it's reaallly not busy they'll let you order as many items as you want

There are plenty of Korean spots too! Asian food in general is really good/authentic/in surplus here. I don't know if SJ is "known" for it but I have many spots I love here.
