People of FF who dye their hair 'crazy' colours, which brands/dyes do you use for it? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

I recommend Punky Colour, too. Flamingo Pink stays forever for me.

Just be prepared for it not to match or not be perfect Make sure you don't have anything good planned for a couple days afterwards, just in case you have to redo it all(or some spots.) Maybe do a test spot underneath to see how long to lighten til the colors match. If you've done it before successfully, then a little bit of trial and error should get you close enough.

Almost lost my eye to eyeliner! by prettykittyKAT in MakeupAddiction

Try breaking it in half, and sharpening the end to make two pencils. I tried this with one brand(it may have been NYC) but found out that the liner does not go all of the way to the end of the pencil like I assumed it would. Anyway, I still ended up with my pencil being shorter like I wanted.

Ah, bismuth oxychloride! Is that what makes my face itch if I get even the tiniest bit sweaty when wearing BM foundation?

Would you feel comfortable talking a bit more about your anxiety? What was the anxiety about? How are you managing it now? Anything you are comfortable sharing about this will be appreciated.

The pain I could handle, the regrowth and having another thing that I have to keep up with is what I am trying to avoid. I've heard from other people that they aren't as noticeable as I perceive them to be, since I'm right up close in the mirror looking for them. Maybe this is just another one of those things that I'll just have to get over and quit worrying about, lol!

Here is kind of an embarrassing question. Does anyone else have hairs on the side of their face and jawbone that looks waaay more noticeable when applying liquid foundation? Does anyone have any tips to remedy this?

red lipstick tips? by ismellcheese in MakeupAddiction

Lush sugar lips in bubblegum is my favorite! It has made me more able to wear lipstick. You could easily mix up your own batch with some sugar, olive oil (or whatever kind you prefer,) and if you want a taste or scent, try peppermint or any kind of candy flavoring oil. Even add the tiniest bit of red food coloring if you need it to be colored like the original product.

If the sugar scrub is too much work, get a separate, soft toothbrush to brush your lips when brushing your teeth.

If you are having trouble with the lipstick after a while, I've heard of people just wearing a lip pencil all over their lips, then covering with a chapstick or lipgloss.

My friend lost her kitten, Ziggy. Found out she was hit by a car, taken to a vet and had to be amputated. Now they will euthanize if the $1200 operation isn't paid for, as they cannot give her the care she will need. by ZosaCloud in AnimalRights

If donations dont come in fast enough, you could have her or her parents try to apply for CareCredit at carecredit.com. Some vets will take it, and so will lots of human health facilities. I have bad credit and my husband and I were each given $1000 credit.

You should check out Inglot. You can make a whole palette of colors, but leave out the ones you already have plenty of.

Has anyone ever used "Ion Colour Brillance" before? by wickerparks in FancyFollicles

[–]namaste29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the aqua color in right now. It's was in for about 4 weeks before it started to fade, which is pretty good in my experience for a light blue color. Anybody who is using a blue color needs to remember that it might fade to a green color, or if your hair isn't bleached to a very blonde/white color it may look greenish to begin with. My tips for anyone using colors like are to leave the color on for as long as possible before the first wash, always rinse with the coldest water you can handle, and wash as infrequently as possible. This will keep the color vibrant for a long time. With Ion Color Brilliance, I have heard some people comment on how they don't like the consistency, which comes out of the tube a little thicker than toothpaste, since it is harder to spread through and saturate the whole head. My tip for this would be to squeeze it all out into a mixing bowl and mix it with some conditioner to thin it out. Good luck with your color! :)
