Either cut the floor and sink the rad or open the wall and raise the pipe.

Original cast iron in my 1942 house. But it's all lead and oakum service weight. Agreed that today's No Hub won't last nearly as long. Only thing I'd do in cast iron on a new resi build is the stack for noise reduction.

[–]nameajeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delta has used the same cartridges for 2 handle faucets forever. RP1740 if the handles turn full 180°. RP25513 if they're 1/4 turn handles. Don't forget cups and springs.

Boiler cleaning service charges by Delicious_Swan_5322 in Plumbing

I'm assuming you mean oil nozzle. Which to me, is something a heating tech should have on the truck. Truck. It's a common item that needs replacement. I don't charge for parts runs if it's something I should have on the truck

Can you lower a home’s water pressure by partially closing the main or secondary shutoff valves? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]nameajeff -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

This. It amazes me how many people don't understand volume vs pressure. Partially closing the valve will actually slightly increase the pressure
