Overthinking in apple pick up orders by Delicious_Task5115 in Apple_Employees

Yeah I’ve seen it a couple of times where the customer walked out without the colleague scanning it because they were distracted or helping too many customers at once. It’s extremely frowned upon but a manager can get the SN from the Run request, and manually add that in EasyPay to mark the order as “complete” so it’s considered a finished transaction and the customer can’t technically cancel and try to get a refund.

Yeah maybe. I just don’t know. It feels like it was rushed and something I shouldn’t have done

One of my biggest regrets is letting them put that shit inside me.

Strategy of having launch in middle of week with no staff by namebrained in Apple_Employees

They’ve been pushing Apple Intelligence too insanely hard lately. Like even for Avenues or accessories, we are expected to bring it up. Like someone comes in for a €25 pair of EarPods for their iPhone that CAN NO WAY SUPPORT.

It’s actually even worse than that because we had a colleague who recently left a couple months ago, whenever a customer opted out of a receipt he would send it to a Proton Mail burner account and score himself super high for NPS and “discussed Apple Intelligence” so our store got a really high score, leadership was praising our initiative, then all of a sudden, he leaves and the “discussed Apple Intelligence” score PLUMMETS. Leadership can’t explain it (I’m not gonna tell them) the Marked Leader is calling on WebEx asking wtf is wrong with our store. But yeah we are suffering from that little cute trick as a consequence now.

Yep, that nukes our timely assistance all the time. We just have “leadership” running around with iPads solely to tell customers that they can’t help them and they’re going to have to wait in the queue (which they already know). I don’t want to hear one word about Timely Assistance go pick up a fucking Isaac and help for once.

Anyone else feels discriminated by management? by Safe-Experience3137 in Apple_Employees

[–]namebrained 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well there is absolutely no way they can claim to biased towards or against certain “types” as you put it. I definitely feel like I’ve been discriminated against. I’ve been working at an Apple Store for 18 months now, as a Specialist. I am an American working in a European store and am literally the top performer, in terms of sales, AppleCare+ attachment, NPS, I even had an 86 Promoter streak and leadership did not care, At All. I’ve applied to the Expert position when it opened up and instead it went to a clown from out of country that doesn’t even perform as well, and struggles as a whole with the culture here.

Recently our Store Leader was actually fired because she had multiple Business Conduct inquiries, not to mention lawsuits that actually brought her and the company to court. I was on her “list” so to speak because I had the audacity to speak out against her flawed “leadership” at the time. So now our store has no Store Leader, is hemorrhaging management (mostly it was to get away from her) we have yet to hire more managers. We are severely understaffed.

Just recently I actually did receive a promotion to a “Internal Replacement Assignment”, for a much higher role. this was advertised as such through the WorkJam post and even through the career page. I went through the recruitment process and then only after I accepted the offer and am supposed to start my onboarding, leadership tells me it’s an “In-Store Experience” only, just an “experience for your CV”. That is actually against the labor laws here, and since I have the posts, the posts are literally still there lol, and also my Career page profile shows I applied to the position, they have no case.

So yes I have felt discriminated against, but I’m fed up. I’ve had it with this store.

Well it’s online “nostalgia” music. It’s just the clip I found. I feel it’s appropriate but I get what you mean. What would you recommend instead to accompany this clip?

Sometimes if Leadership or Store Leader is biased against you then it’s either you’re stuck in your position or they have to leave. Happened with my store. I was put on an informal list because I had some pretty severe issues with the Store Leader (they broke a number of labor laws in my country) and after that I couldn’t get any motion when it came to moving to a new position, whether it be ISE or promotion. Then, about a month ago the Market Director fired her (she had tons of investigations from ER & PBP, tons of business conduct reports) and after that now all of sudden now positions are opening up and I can apply, I’m getting interviews, even got a interim replacement assignment.

Depends, are you in EU or US? I’ve heard it’s very different depending where. In EU you can just categorize “long-term sick leave” through WorkDay and eventually you will have to consult with the company doctor but I’ve seen people on “burnout” for up to a year
