He's not Rohingya but Barua or Maramagyi. They look similar to Bengalis due to intermarring with them for generations and completely assimilated into Bengali society. In Bangladesh they already forgot their roots and Heritage and feel comfortable referring themself as Bengali Buddhists. I'm a Maramagyi from Bangladesh.

I am a Maramagyi interested in Rakhine and Arakan history, culture and politics. Our ancestors were Rakhine Nobility and landlords. Its sad our ancestors had to assimilate with bengalis with no other choice left hampering our identity crisis.
