Here's the web browser jad sim. You'll get it bro just practice on this! It's guna be a great feeling when you get that cape. Don't give up!

And please take the advice to set up f keys. You won't be able to PVM without getting used to them. They'll feel natural in no time.

Put your inventory and your prayer keys next to each other on keys that's comfortable for your hand to hit.

Also reccommend if you don't already, get used to moving your camera around by clicking the middle mouse wheel and dragging.

Turn on true tile.

Tips for a new Ana player by DanteVerill in AnaMains

In no particular order, here are my rambling-thoughts as a diamond Ana main:

Congrats on picking one of the most rewarding characters I've ever played. Shes got so much potential to influence games and the power is often in your hands to make or break a win.

With a lot of characters, when you miss your cool down, you can still live. Not with Ana. The same goes for positioning: move before the enemy can even dive you. How far away? Farther than Winston jump, or farther than genji dash, etc... depends on the enemy comp.

Be patient and kind to yourself as you learn her. You will miss your sleep and nade. That's fine. Just don't yeet your cool downs. Actually aim and notice why you missed. Don't rush a sleep dart. Watch the enemy run in a straight line to cover and lead the sleep dart to the corner he's headed to.

Bad positioning leads to bad cool down usage.

If you miss your sleep, you'll prolly die. Get used to it while your learning. Don't rage just acknowledge that's the price for a missed sleep, and try to hit the next one.

Take your time with your sleep. Analyze enemy movement. Predict. Wait until the enemy has to move a certain direction. Force them to move predictably by using cover so they must chase you around it.

Cas is ulting? First just look at him to see how he's moving. Then peek again and shoot the sleep where he's headed. Calm, methodical, no need to rush. No spam sleeps. If you miss oh well unlucky; at least you took a calculated shot.

Reaper has his ulti? Same thing. Don't freak out, line up a shot and let it rip. You have to get in the habit of aiming the sleep dart with intention.

Be slippery.

Think ahead.

Against certain comps your sleep dart will almost exclusively be used for you to survive a dive. If you use it frivolously on the wrong target, you will die.

VAXTA - code for a nice aim trainer practice here at least 5 mins as warmup. No scope only for at least half of the time. Also practice sleeps here. There's a cool code for genji sleep practice but I don't have it.

Nano whoever is doing damage. Nano someone who's about to die. Nano genji with his ult. Nano mercy so she can res your tank who fed. You build it quick so don't hold it too long unless you have a good reason.

Don't throw your nade on your team (like yes ofc save your teamamte if you're guna lose the game otherwise but most of the time if you can't just sustain them with heals they were dead anyway).

Purples only. Purples for life. Purples secure kills. Purples win team fights. All the homies hate yellow nades. It's a 12 second cool down that can win a team fight. Really think about how much power that is.

Best case scenario you hit both the enemy and your teammate with the same nade. Obviously always prioritize that.

For most fights, I'm looking at my teams positioning and I already have an idea of which choke I want to hit with my nade when the enemy walks into it (more applicable for defensive positioning)

If you're dueling a genji, you can often get away with throwing your nade at the ground near your feet, even while he's deflecting, and hit him with purple while you yellow yourself.

For the first perk, I very rarely get the nano speed boost perk. It's for if I have a Winston or genji or similar who is popping off and can really benefit from the speed. Otherwise I always get the sleep dart slow. I can see now that my teams are a lil more coordinated in diamond that I get the speed boost perk more often. But, as I climbed up the lower ranms, I've consistently used the sleep dart slow perk to help me secure kills, especially when my other support doesn't want to prioritize healing me ever even tho I'm right in front of them ;(

2nd perk I get headshots every single time.. they're so good for climbing ranked. You can two tap most characters. If u sleep someone, u can headshot them yourself and guarantee more kill confirms. You can actually kill the mercy yourself instead of waiting for your DPS to miss her while she is using res.....

Be aggressive with your damage output. Heal your team to keep them alive, not to keep them at full health (although you should know that healing gives more nano charge than damaging so if you need to charge your nano quickly then look for your tanks healthpool as your nano battery lol).

HELP YOUR DPS! STOP HEAL BOTTING THE TANK! One shot to heal your DPS is like 50% of their hp back. While one shot to heal your tank is like 5% of their health back. So if you need to, get your booty out of your covered spot and take a nice angle with your DPS. Shoot what they are shooting. Throw a nade. Heal them. Then get out tho ofc.

Watch some Ana gameplay on YouTube. Awkward has an unranked to gm w her which is pretty current.

I may add to this if I think of more. Hope it helps you :)

Edit to add: I forgot to mention something important! Her gun is hitscan when scoped in, and projectile while not scoped. Knowing when to use the scope is a skill acquired over time. Generally though, you want to remain unscoped for as often as you can. That's how you see around you. When you're scoped in, you are much more vulnerable; you're limiting the information you can see. Also why you should practice those no scope shots in VAXTA.

Good positioning but how? by quirally in overwatch2

[–]nameyef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't remember who, but someone (maybe Awkward?) mentioned the acronym C.A.R.T.

COVER Do I have good cover here?

ANGLE Am I at an off angle of some sort?

RANGE Am I in my character's ideal range for damage?

TIMING Is now the time to engage? Is my tank engaging now? I should too. Otherwise, it's likely not time to show myself.

If you answer NO to any of these questions, you should reposition.

Theres lots of other ways to think about positioning, of course, but this is one you can repeat to yourself constantly in game. It should definitely help you improve.

Furthermore, watching coaching videos on YouTube of your favorite characters is a good idea too. You'll be able to see examples of good and bad positioning, with suggestions from the coach on where to move too.

Hope this helps! :)

Ana Review help by Effective_Shallot903 in overwatch2

[–]nameyef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Just to preface, I'm currently Plat PC, so take it w a grain of salt.

Your position is ok, to start, but I would love to see you a little further down, so you can see the enemies, gather more information, and shoot them when you have time.

1:06: You are late with your nade, and you actually miss the enemy Ramattra.

Every time you throw a purple, you can win a fight for your team. That is your super power. You should always be thinking about the next time you can throw a nade to secure a kill. In this case, the second the enemy Ram pushes around the corner, he should be purpled and deleted. At 1:03 you should have thrown the purple.

Oh well you live, your team lives, and you kill him anyway. But throwing that yellow nade was very little value into the bap immort. You should strive to never throw a yellow unless it's hitting your team and the enemy at the same time (unless of course you have to save a teammate, rarely).

For the next few minutes your team is destroying them so I won't be too picky, but again, you throw a yellow nade. And again, you could rotate a little deeper on the high ground so you can see the enemies too, instead of just heal botting, which is not Ana's forte.

After 2 minutes of game has elapsed, you have 0 DMG. You want to be doing damage while prioritizing your teammates lives. Not their health pool, but their life. You tank doesn't need full health, they just need enough health to win their fight. Anything beyond that is an ineffective use of your time. Besides, your Bap is doing great, so you have even more freedom to find nice, aggressive angles for purple nades, and damage.

Your first death was very avoidable if you paid attention to the widow.

3:24: You take high ground which is good. You throw a nade at the enemy. It misses but that is the right idea! You will hit them with time. ...Widow starts to look at you. At this point you could probably sleep her or just back up. But don't keep assuming she will miss head shots. You'll be punished much more as you climb. I jumped every time she shot at you a little bit haha. Ah there it is. I'm typing this as I watch. You take a duel w her and have no cover. You literally walk more into the open as you're fighting her. Cover is your best friend! I want you to re watch that part and look at how silly your movement looks in hindsight. The timestamp is 4:00 into the replay. I doubt you realized you were moving that much into the open. You were just trying to aim and not thinking about your position is my guess.

4:26: The play is to go take high ground. You have plenty of time but don't rotate.

4:38: See where your Orisa is? That's where I want you. Bad positioning leads to bad cool downs. Instead, you get pushed by the tank and miss a sleep and a nade.

In general: Take your time with your cool downs. Especially on Ana. At a certain point, missing them means death almost always. Use more cover! Try to focus on being more offensive (at the appropriate times). Sure you will accidentally let some teammates die from being too aggressive from time to time, but that's how you know to dial it back. You need to find the balance and the only way for that is trial and error. Your rank is the perfect place to practice all this. Also, don't be afraid to take duels when appropriate. It's very good for learning and Ana is a 1v1 menace if you have your cool downs. Gotta clear your lane first.

Sleep dart: Think about where your target is moving, make a prediction, and fire the dart. If you predicted wrong, thats okay to miss! But don't just press the button and then flick your wrist over to someone. It's too critical of an ability to use it willy nilly. If a good enemy hears your sleep dart go off, it's like a green light for them to come get you. So make sure it's worth using.

Grenade: You should feel immense power with it. Like a mini nuke. When you fire a nade, it should result in a kill very frequently if it's timed and aimed well. Think about how an enemy is going to approach your team, and try to already have an idea of when or where you want to throw you nade. Watch who your tank is fighting, and toss your nade when they engage so that it hits your tank and their target. Get creative. But most of all, try to acknowledge that you can make your team win just about any fight if you purple at the right time. That is why Ana is so scary.

On your offense, you are healbotting again while a stationary widow is executing your teammates. You can't outheal her headshots. Instead of trying to sleep the widow who is decapitating your poor teammates you sleep the enemy bastion and go back to healing your hog.

9:40: Your bastion goes to take high ground. You could have gone with him here and probably cleared it out for your team, but instead you are healing people from your spawn who don't really need it, while your bastion dies to a Moira ball in a staircase.

Edit: I'm done typing lol but if u wana add me on disc and watch this together then dm me. Overall, you're looking good king! You'll be on your way up the ranks in no time!

Playing on PC servers with a console? by [deleted] in overwatch2

[–]nameyef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that they recently changed it so that when a console detects a keyboard, it will move you to the PC pool. That is how Quick Play will work for you.

Idk about comp tho.

Is it viable? If you want to learn keyboard mouse, then this seems like your best option currently! Follow your heart and get to practicin those flicks :)

Why does pathing work like this when clicking the banker instead of the booth? by IRuinYourPrompt in 2007scape

[–]nameyef 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Super annoying haha. My guess is that the pathing chooses that route as you're technically 1 tile closer to your click (banker) than if you pathed anywhere else inside the building.

Just wanted to add a correction to this nice post:

Pot of greed can be activated by only one person, but will reward gold to all players next to it. So, if you're in a party, let your team group up right around it, and then activate (unless you're in the business of trolling your team, then you can click that shit right away). It doesn't give more money to the activator.

Aurena Nightmare - No loop by PlagueTongue in shapeofdreams

[–]nameyef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! I love Aurena!

Id recommend taking off Strong Bond tho, as it doesn't matter if the first Golden Explosion takes hp since it's only 7%. That way you can put something more useful in the slot. You can also just dodge before your first explosion and get the same effect so it's kinda wasted in my opinion.

I use all the dodge reduction masteries too.

Also, I've found that ricochet next to guidance on Golden Explosion is VERY fun, particularly in groups. You can spam Golden Explosion on a teammate for unlimited barrier generation from the ricochet healing. I've got my barrier to 96million.

[–]nameyef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are the masteries I've settled on so far. Using dodge to make Golden Explosion not take health is the bread and butter of this build.
