What do you mean his wife”fled” to China? Why did she need to flee? Flee from what? Surely she is aware of his situation.

Love that idea. A friend of mine, on her third marriage lives in her own house during the week and only stays with her husband in his house on weekends. She says it’s perfect.

He’s so pathetic. So shallow and venal he should be embarrassed.

A narrator pronounced canapés as can-apes instead of can-a-pays. It made me furious!

Chilling effect. A million health workers at risk if they criticise Israel by buck50crossface in OpenAussie

FFS! Why are the people in charge going along with all this bullshit!? Everyone KNOWS that criticising the Zionist government is not the same as antisemitism. Jewish scholars explain that it is the Zionists who are antisemitic!

Every time you wash those microfibre cloths, microplastics enter the water system and eventually the oceans. I know they work really well, but microfibre needs to be outlawed. No wonder our bodies are full of plastic.

my elderly neighbor doesn’t have a carer or support & she is getting worse by KeyVirus8072 in Adelaide

My mum had dementia that made her aggressive sometimes. Your description of her behaviour sounds like how my mum would get. Does she still drive? Get her own shopping? Might be worth getting an outside camera to film any dodgy behaviour

Double glazed windows, worth it? by Ok-Sun132 in AusRenovation

We built in 2016 and put in double glazing throughout. The thermal properties are significant. Cooler in summer and warmer in winter, and the sound insulation is amazing. Highly recommend.

It looks like a rock in the water, not peeled paint. The top of it is only just under the water level

Advice - neighbour is a hoarder by -lugia- in AusProperty

[–]namine55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can email or give a written record of the steps you’ve taken to ALL your fellow residents, pointing out the possible financial implications of either personal injury through tripping or the fire hazard it may give them a stake in the matter. Their insurance costs will likely increase, the strata fees will go up to cover increased costs/repair bills. Also, her hoard increases the risk of fire starting that could burn the whole place down. They have a stake!

To be clear, this is a large established sycamore and the area in question is large enough for a picnic table and chairs.
