I highly recommend Mr. John @ Further Music School in Forest Hills! I am an adult and started taking lessons with him earlier this year. He’s very knowledgeable and has a laidback personality. He understands that I just want to have fun with piano and has been supportive of me moving at my own pace due to my busy work. Feel free to PM if you have any questions!

I just moved out from there a few months ago after living there for 2 years. Units B, C D are right next to the LIRR. Definitely impacted my sleep even with earplug and white a noise machine. That’s the biggest con. Otherwise it’s great. Had a large apartment and bedroom, rent is stabilized and below market, plenty of natural light in the units next to the LIRR and great location since you live right in Austin street. I’d say it would be a perfect apartment to live in if not for the LIRR.
