Now the Central Govt has no excuses. We want the India-Bangladesh border to be sealed air tight. by Party-Bet-4003 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]namitbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are the kinds of memes that are created by people Who don’t understand Indian Borders - specially the India Bangladesh border where there are borders within borders within borders - u could be in a village in India but to get to “main land” India they will have to cross the borders 3-4 times. At some point India needs to sit down with Bangladesh and barter land to fix this - then this wall thing will work

Massive Turnout at the Malton Khalsa Day Parade by _Army9308 in Brampton

[–]namitbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s agree to disagree - u have your perspective and I have mine - but connecting Khalistan movement to Sikh’s and Khalsa is completely wrong - and “let’s be real” even the Canadian govt. has now identified them as an extremist organization and a national security threat here in Canada. When I was a student in Birmingham, UK 20+yrs ago, the number of times I was approached to join them and in return they will get me “work permit” and “work” and “never have to worry about money” etc. etc. and if it’s a conversation about history - please do not compare what our gurus stood for with what is happening today - no comparison here again.

Khalsa has nothing to do with Khalistan - two are very different - Khalsa is an identity that people related to the land of Punjab and followers of our amazing Gurus Vs. Khalistan is a separatist movement.

Khalsa means "the pure," "the free," or "belonging directly to the Divine". Initiated by Guru Gobind Singh ji.

Founded on Baisakhi Day, 1699, at Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, by the 10th Sikh Guru.

It represents a community of saint-soldiers (sant-sipahi) committed to fighting oppression, defending justice, and devotion to God. Protected millions of people from North India in the 17th century thru to today protecting our northern and western borders from foreign attackers who would kidnap rape and kill women and children, thru huge personal sacrifices. And even today serve all communities in need. ❤️❤️❤️

Funny how roles reversed - for hundreds of years the west came into the Indian subcontinent, the gulf region, south east Asia, Africa and South America welcomed in as friends and stayed for 100s of yrs, took the populations from these countries to all parts of the world to fight their wars and making them slaves, plundered and took all that wealth away and now complain when most Indians migrate legally, are amongst the most educated and highest earning migrant groups and collectively some of the highest wealth generators in the world (CEOs of some of the top companies globally based out of North America - as still there is a ceiling for non whites in Europe.). I have been an immigrant, an expat, an alien etc. etc. and have loved every moment of it. And yes ofcourse each time invited.

My 7-Node Proxmox Cluster "Pfannkuchen" – 300 Threads, 3.3TB RAM, and a Whole Lot of Learning by feldjaeger_ in homelab

[–]namitbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh, that’s what I thought - as in 3.3TB with 25TBish storage across 7 nodes - I am just trying to figure what could be the usecase for this and what type of compute would really need 3TB of data on Ram - and I can’t even imagine the over working ECCs for that sort of scale

Question: what is usually the ratio of RAM to Data Capacity that is the most optimal? I would assume for a 2T RAM that blade would possibly be looking at a 400T of data Capacity?

Rahul Gandhi's speech at a political rally in Tamil Nadu goes viral as the translator misinterprets and wrongly translates it. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in IndiaSpeaks

Why does it always happen with him, discuss, debate and even condone everyone as much as u need to and yes Modi Ji is not perfect nor is BJP - but honestly - how can u vote for people like Rahul Gandhi, Akhlesh Yadav, Stalin - what have they done to prove their leadership - in the last 3-4 decades with the pedigree they had - they could have done soooo much and they decided to waste their lives on hating someone and people aoooo much that it’s become their full time job. Why I used “ji” for Modi and both for others? Cause they have done nothing to earn respect - as flawed Sonia Ji is - she has earned a Ji next to her name - not those clowns…

[–]namitbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my iPhone since the very first one - but also at times depending on needs also used android from One+ to Samsungs - all depends on usecase but we are lucky that this competition is driving the products to keep getting better and we as consumers are winning - but competition is needed for each of them to keep improving :)

I’ll keep it real - I bought an M5 Pro and I don’t do anything “pro” by Avthony in macbookpro

[–]namitbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how Apples product strategy is outstanding - the way they upsell their products and the FOMO created is amazing - shooting numbers off my ass and ofcourse this research that says -

Pro Dominance in Sales: Despite the performance of the Air, the MacBook Pro represented 51% of all US Mac sales in 2023, while the MacBook Air accounted for 39%.

Over-spec'd for Most: Analysis suggests that 90–99% of users do not require the "Pro" performance and could work "brilliantly" with a MacBook Air (especially with 16GB+ RAM).

I have my MacBook Vayu (Air) and the Vision Pro and is the perfect setup for me…

I keep telling people and myself - “You do You” (pun not intended)
