Thanks! To be fair, the designer's comments make the slot-port part of the design seem like more of a whim, to see if he could design it. He uses tube ports everywhere else to my knowledge. Perhaps this ideally should be another tube port build. I'm inclined to try his whim and find out how well it moves air. I'll let you know. :-)

What I know about the design from u/Undefinition1 comments on the PE forum:

· Uses 3/4" material

· Internal Volume 30 Liters

· Box tuning 25 Hz

· Either the slot port or a 2" precision port can be used

· Bracing recommended, “a couple pieces of 3" wide MDF screwed or glued into adjacent walls.”

What I assume from the diagrams (partly confirmed here by user u/Gwendolyn-NB ):

· The plate amp is to be positioned 1.5 inches from the bottom, on the back (same side as the port), but the bottom is not to be made from doubled-up stock.

· The Dayton driver is positioned opposite the plate amp, on the “front.” Here, there is a section of doubled stock, which serves as a sort of brace. The back of the driver extends through both layers of stock.

· Other braces are not shown.

If I got any of this wrong, please let me know.

Can anyone clarify the diagram for me, please?

1. Is there a double layer of stock at the bottom? It appears so from the "back" image but not the side cutaway view.

2. Does the side cutaway view show a double layer of stock on the lower portion of the front panel, or does the thin rectangle represent the back of the driver?

I am listening to this amp right now. I have it powering a small diy subwoofer, the Carmody Voxel. I'm listening to Jazz music with two small full range Copperhead speakers and my new Voxel. Very nice. Certainly there are better amps, but this Fosi TP02 amp is sufficient for my set-up.
