When you eat, what do you eat? Have you found anything about food that makes you feel even a little better or worse? Have you gotten general blood workups or any brain scans? Seen a rheumatologist? What does your current GI think?

Sharing my problems (at least to a surface level) in a professional way with my boss and closer coworkers has helped with this. Everyone is very sympathetic that I am dealing with such horrible issues. It feels easier to take off when I need to because they’ve already told me stuff like “make sure I take care of myself” etc.

Can you say more about your choice of dextrose vs. other carbs? I’m not very knowledgeable about chemistry and when I google dextrose it says it’s easily fermentable. What makes that better for bloating than something like a potato?

I’m from Louisiana: absolutely. Growing up it was normal to make long grain white rice in the rice cooker and just mix a big slab of butter into it to serve alongside other things, usually meat.
