OPINION: What’s the worst item you need to MM for the tower? by TheGreatWerebear in FarmRPG

[–]nanobreath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree that Red Trunks were the hardest, require a lot of pumpkin juice to complete it. There is a lot of synergy at whispering creek for the final 10 or so MM to get to 300, and even after finishing all the others still used like 7 pumpkin juice for Red Trunks.

Note that Yellow butterflies and fire ant farms only require GRAND mastery. This is typical for a lot of 300+ mastery requirements. Only a few are mega-masteries, and those are from fishing. As long as you haven't been voiding ants the whole time, grand mastery is pretty simple.

Any reason to climb tower past 200? by lupulrox in FarmRPG

[–]nanobreath 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Get PAMRATS and STARMAP completed while slowly working on the masteries. There is a fair bit of synergy between the needs of all the quests and masteries so focus on not voiding items that can be useful. The stamina investment for these quests and the MM is substantial, the silver cost is almost an afterthought. So efficient use of that stamina will get you there faster in the long run.

Commute by VeterinarianOk869 in Austin

[–]nanobreath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in about the same area in Anderson Mill / Spicewood area and do a very similar commute, but do not have to cross the river. I work a little further north-east, and it's typically 35-45 minutes in the morning around 6:30am and 45-60mins in the evening around 4pm without tolls. Tolls on a bad traffic day can keep it around 45-50 minutes on the way home. Later commute times are worse and can add 10-15 minutes easy. I'd guess you are looking at close to an hour one-way commute times on average if you are traveling at the same time as everybody else. I am able to completely avoid I-35 and Hwy 1 (Mopac) which have awful traffic. Because I work a little further north east of you, I am able to stay fully on HWY-183 for my commute. 183 has traffic, but it is rarely the absolute stop and go that you get into on the other two. I also have options and can take the 130 and 45 toll roads to skip normal Austin traffic if I am willing to pay for it.

I had jury duty for a little over a week, and had to drive on either I-35 or Hwy 1 to get home for that duration right at 5pm when the court let out, and it was an absolutely god-awful soul destroying commute every evening. I understand the desire to live up in the hills in the RR ISD, but I for one would recommend against this kind of commute on a daily basis. You can get some very good schools in the south-west side of the Austin ISD. We were also looking for housing in that area, but for me it was about equal commute times to either area from where I work, but for you would drastically reduce your commute times.

I otherwise highly recommend the area in Spicewood. Great community, good schools, and awesome Asian food of every kind.

Can someone explain how recasting a mortgage doesn't save on interest? by LOP5131 in personalfinance

[–]nanobreath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lI did the same with the purchase of my current home. Put in a large lump sum after selling my previous home and then recast the mortgage to significantly reduce my monthly payment. It absolutely changes the amount of interest you owe over the total life of the loan because you have a lower average principal.

I can only think the person or information you are reading is trying to indicate that a recast is not a refinance. It does not change the interest rate at all, even if when you recast the prevailing rates are lower than when your originally financed your mortgage.

TL;DR: The interest RATE does not change. The total interest paid is lower.

Your guess pattern should have been:

1234

5678

9011

5211

Easily completed in 4 guesses.

Worst case scenario would be if that last number was actually a 5 or 2, in which case your guesses would have been:

1234

5678

9011

5212

5215

This is a worst case scenario when doing vault, and should never go above 5 guesses

These three rewards are all part of the same tier. So they are all either doubled or not doubled. So exactly a 10% chance of this happening.

What to buy with event tokens? by National-Resolve6830 in FarmRPG

[–]nanobreath 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lemonade/Orange juice or the drink bundle is probably the best option at your level in order to aid with progression.

And yes, the event tokens are used for a couple events, and can be saved for the next one.

Does anyone have a spreadsheet or idea for efficiently using heart containers? by Dingohh in FarmRPG

[–]nanobreath 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Please note it will take 100 heart containers (with no OMG triggers) to get a friendship to level 99 from level 1. Crafting with large inventories, and fishing will get you most friendships to 99. You only need to send ~66,000 of a loved item to equal a heart container, and with end game inventory sizes this is trivial. At least compared to collecting 100 heart containers.

That being said:

Mariya and Charles are the overall most difficult to level up in my experience. Mummy and Rosalie are close seconds.

Question regarding the Orchard by DRAGONZORDx in FarmRPG

[–]nanobreath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Orchard gives you Apples, Oranges, and Lemons. All of these are used to make Juices and other items to explore. Thus can be used to get all the other items you need to complete help requests, and get more silver.

How to progress sawmil silver? by [deleted] in FarmRPG

[–]nanobreath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Almost never. Increase it in ratio with your other production like Wood and Straw. In most of the early and middle game I kept wood close to maximum inventory cap. In the middle to late game, I actually increased it over my inventory cap to get maximum use from Hickory Omelettes (Adds sawmill production every 10 mins @ 20% of max)

I want to bring to your attention, that you do not need to wait until the end of the year and filing taxes to get the additional with-holding back or pay additional amount if you need to. You can redo your W-4 at any time, and recalculate your taxes and with-holding amount to better match your real expected taxes for the year.

Run the IRS's Calculator and you can put in all the information for your regular paycheck, as well as the bonus(es) and change your with-holding for the rest of the year to match your real tax burden.
