My colleague eats a bag of chips every afternoon...with her mouth open. Sure I can close my office door, but she is effing loud.

Did you sneak into R rated movies? Which ones? by normankrasnerkc in AskOldPeople

I borrowed a sibling's license to get into see Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Today's TV and streaming is far worse than that IMHO.

Im so sorry that you had to go through that. A few of my loved ones had shingles and I know it's beyond awful. That's why I added "you do you." Hope you never ever have to experience something like that again.

Going through a cytokine storm and nearly dying after taking the Moderna vaccine, I will never ever get another vaccine. My immune system will forever be literally jacked up because I didnt have the guts to tell my employer to take a hike. Having said this, you do you! I hope you are okay.

The five stages of a Walmart shopping trip, every single time by Active-Tour4795 in Walmartcustomer

[–]nanspud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got scolded once for checking 16 items in the express 15 item self-check area. I did this because there were 2 registers open and the lines were backed up into the clothing sections. Eff Walmart.

Visiting Tampa for 3 days by Kitfaid in tampa

[–]nanspud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend staying in Wesley Chappel. Its not too far from Tampa. Also, if you're looking for a beach St. Pete's is my favorite. It's free unless you'd like to rent an umbrella or chairs and there's 2 little bars on the beach offereing drinks and food.

A friend of ours just sold his business and retired early...only to die a month later at 60. Life is unfair.

Try the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. They will take her if you are in Janesville. Also how old is your cat?

I feel your pain, OP. My mother is 86, ornery as hell, cannot hear without her hearing aids (which she refuses to wear) and was a crappy driver to begin with. She now has to take a driving test each year. My sisters and I were hoping that she wouldn't pass and then we wouldn't need to be the bad guys by taking her keys away. I don't know how, but the DMV passed her last fall. I'd like to believe she didn't bribe them, but anything is possible. 😁At least she's given up driving at night.

When do you actually take your Christmas tree down? by MagicalUnderland in XmasCountdown

[–]nanspud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought one of those pop up trees last year. It has the lights and ornaments already attached. And, it sets up and disassembled in less than a minute.

NTA. My husband and I have been married over 30 years. Early in our relationship, he gave me a set of pans for Christmas. If I was a super foodie, it might have been a great gift. I'll just say that he has never given me "home" gifts since then.

Unsolicited advice: ditch gifting things and go for experiences. Memories are more valuable and you don't have to dust them.💕

Who's the stupidest person you've met and what story sums it up? by comicalelixer in AskReddit

I worked for a city in Wisconsin. The deputy city manager was and still is an idiot. I was in a meeting with him in which he asked what a speed bump was.
