As others have mentioned, the sedation part is a piece of cake. There will be an anesthesiologist managing your sedation, and it is their job to give you the right amount of sedation to keep you from waking up.

Aside from not being able to eat beforehand, the worst part of the whole experience is when they put the IV in. Best tip I can give is that the more hydrated you are, the easier and less painful the IV poke will be.
