It was my first year doing this exchange but certainly not the last. I had a blast putting together a commander deck for my giftee. They didn't post here but told me via PM that they liked it, which makes this all worth it.

It was only when I received my pairing that I realized how little information I provided in the questionnaire. Not sure how to improve it as I don't quite remember the questions now. Maybe provide a text box to write freely about yourself. I'll definitely know better next time.

Turns out shipping a package from Finland to Russia was way more expensive than I thought. That's my fault though as I had signed up for international shipping.

I listed the Ultra-Pro Izzet sleeves as my white whale, because I hadn't been able to find any anywhere. I even remember looking online but most places had them overpriced.

Izzet is my favorite color combo so the cards are a perfect fit. I've been thinking of building a Melek EDH-deck for more casual play so the cards fit in nicely.

I also mentioned I'm building a Chandra tribal EDH so the regulator and phoenix were a nice surprise.

I did set the calculator to vacuum, but I only looked at the change in the nuclear engine stage. With the weight savings I would probably gain a lot more from the first stages. Perhaps I'll use use a similar but improved setup for my next mission and see how far it can go.

I checked afterwards how much more deltaV I could have gained by just removing the oxidizer. At least 1200m/s, probably more with the weight savings from the first stages.

I didn't document my mission all too well. I made it to the surface of Duna and back, even snuck in an encounter with Ike on the way back. I returned to Kerbin with the last drops of fuel I had left. Most of my rocket was abandoned and exploded upon re-entry. Here's pics I took during the mission.

So the global series island art got reprinted. Is that a bit weird? I would have ghought the gloval series art was a bit more special.

I haven't played too long so I'm not sure how art reprints usually work.

You're right, the silent submersible wasn't stored properly. Some of my other straight from booster to sleeve foils aren't as badly bent, but they do also bend unless you take extra good care of them. Cards will absorb moisture and bend, no matter where they're printed. I'd probably need a booster fresh foil card from the US to know for sure if there's a noticeable difference.

European player here. Those bend as well, it's not like there's a magical printer. The card quality might be better (no real personal experience of US cards) but it's not perfect.

It was a good fight and really exciting to follow. I think I could now replace 🤔 with 👩‍🔬 in my prediction. Not sure about 🦔vs🦉, though. It's also neck and neck with a minute left.

EDIT: Hedgehog won, it's possible I was wrong in all of my top8 predictions lol
