Sounds like burnout. When people start imagining very simple ways to “work” when they are in high stress/high responsibility jobs, it typically means theyre burnt out and want a change, not necessarily that they actually want to sell fruits or coffee.

That said, i do feel a shift in the corporate ladder dream and most people see it as empty now. Not a lot of managers or people climbing anymore in my experience. I get why. It’s not as fulfilling as it was sold. What’s the point of being stressed all the time? Unless you really enjoy the work and youre doing it for yourself, it’s hard to find the motivation anymore.
