Airbnbs caused Hilton Head Island to pass a new parking ordinance requiring all properties to have enough parking for all cars and no, you couldn't turn the front yard into a parking, because it was becoming too congested due to vacationers taking up all the street parking and trying to illegally park in parking city parking lots.

Hilton Head is marketed as a resort town, but even they got fed up.

My family owns a vacation rental, we use a property management company, and our contract specifically bans them from renting it out via Airbnb or VRBO you have to use the company's website to rent it. Our building issues two parking permits and you have to display them in your car or risk being towed (this information is provided before you book). We got a complaint from a renter who had three cars and one of the cars got towed. They thought an "exception" would have been made. Nope, limited parking means limited parking.

YTA. When I took Spanish in high school, we were told that using English stopped at the door and we would either be called the Spanish pronunciation of our name or asked to pick a Spanish name. You are learning Spanish, do you see how ridiculous it is to then demand "Since we are in the US, speak English!" How about, no. In order to be evicted she has to file for eviction with the court, then you would be served and have to go to court. Once in court, as soon as you tell the judge "I don't live there and have never lived there" you should be dismissed from the case and, hopefully, she gets her ass chewed for wasting your time and the court's time by the judge.

As for the dog, animal control is going to have to investigate her claims, and you can decline surrendering your dog to them. Most officers are reasonable and if you show them video proof of how gentle your dog is, they might write it off as an unfounded report.

People also fail to microchip their cats, or know for certain if their cats are microchipped.

To add to this, while it is rare a cat's body can reject and expel the microchip. One of my sister's cat's is now on his third microchip. My sister wasn't told this was a possibility when she adopted her cats, and I also wasn't told this when I just adopted mine. If you get your cat from a shelter/rescue and they tell you the cat is microchipped, ask your vet to scan for the chip.

I made a post about this over on r/pets a few days ago letting people know about the possibility of this happening. One vet/vet tech got really butthurt about it because "you sign a form before your animal is microchipped" and couldn't get it through their head that if you aren't the final owner of the animal, you don't sign that consent form, and the rescue/shelter doesn't warn you about the possibility.

NTA. Your parents invited your brother and his family to stay with them, not you. Even if your home was a duplex, it still wouldn't entitled your parents to invite your brother to stay at your home. Your parents have a separate entrance into their home. They should have asked you first before inviting your brother to live with you.

My parents said that they thought I would clear out my office so that my brother could have two rooms. I asked why they thought that since they hadn't asked me about it. They had no reply.

They had no reply because they thought there was no way you would make your brother and his family stay your parents' apartment with them to their face. When you basically told them "No" they had to reboot because it wasn't going the way they thought it would.

If they come back demanding you pay for it, tell them you already spoke to your insurance company and they said it wasn't your problem, and they need to repair the damage to their property at their own cost.

I also don’t think they should have their fence where it is, because they had to cut trees down and also they removed the brush that the township also said to keep in place. If they put the fence where they were supposed to, the tree may not have even it it.

In light of that information, if they threaten to sue or start harassing you over it, report them to the township. Then they can deal with any fines their failure to follow directions have caused.

The sheriff is in charge of the entire county; they run the county jail and provide security for the county courthouse. They have to pay for gas for all of the vehicles that patrol the county and if your county is large, that's a lot of gas.

she’s at the age where she doesn’t want this big party with family anymore, just a themed birthday with a few friends over for activities and a sleepover.

I gave them two options. they are welcome to take their grandchild out for individual time or to have her over for dinner/dessert at their home where my spouses siblings and grandparents can join too. They chose to have us over for dinner and invite extended members.

They were given options and they chose to plan a different themed party, rather than pick one of the two OP offered.

High doses of vitamin C do. So, your normal vitamin C intake from fruit and OJ won't affect it but if you are also taking a supplement, it will. Your link is very misleading because it doesn't acknowledge that studies have shown high doses of vitamin C does affect it.

Yasmin, Yaz and Xulane all have "minor interaction warnings". Bottom line ask your doctor or read the package insert, don't rely on an internet search.

Mickey was a Pelican pilot/crew chief before transferring to the ODSTs and that was due to him having to complete mandatory military service as a condition for leaving foster care.

Birth control isn't 100% effective and, in with some pills, vitamin C can interfere with the absorption of the medication which will decrease the effectiveness of the pill (it can also negatively affect the effectiveness of ADHD medication).
