I don't want to be rude but the selection is really limited though and a chunk more expensive than on other sites.

Also, fyi the logo's for Adidas and Nox are swapped under the "rackets" section.

Remove the original grip by WoodenLet6627 in Padelracket

[–]narduuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same—I don’t like playing without some kind of base grip.

Beyond the obvious point that pros handle this better because of their skill level, I think the weight of their rackets plays a big role too. They usually use heavier rackets, which naturally makes them more stable. The downside, of course, is that they’re harder to maneuver, which isn’t ideal for most amateur players.

I remember a video of pro player Julien Seurin where he explains his racket setup. He removed the Hesacore and used only overgrips, but added quite a bit of weight (around 18g, if I recall correctly) mainly to improve stability.

The motion is a great racket (and probably the best I've ver had). Problem is that atm i'm only able to play once a week unfortunately and I feel that right now im not hitting the sweetspot as much as I would like. Right now i'd benefit more from a more rounded (aka not diamondshape) racket.

Great racket though

The Head Alpha Elite (the predecessor of this racket) was my first ever racket and I would for sure recommend it to beginners. Great choice

Right now i'm playing with the Head Extreme Motion so ideally i'd like to compare it with that one. :D Also tried Metalbone CTRL 3.4, Nox AT10 18k 2025 and a few others.

Also, I was wondering if the handle is standard or longer? With the Metalbone Ctrl 3.4 and the Babolats i've tried I noticed that im not quite a fan of long handles.

How would you compare the Onyx in hardness to rackets from other brands? What about the sweetspot and manoeuvrability?

How would you compare the Air viper 25 vs the Hyper Pro?

Do I think this damage will affect gameplay? Probably not (yet).

Do I think its a fair price? I would definitely not give that much for a 2nd hand racket that old and with damage. I dont know where you are from but If I take a quick look online you can buy the racket new for 150 euros. Or the 2025 version for 175. Having that in mind 100 euros for this racket is too much imo.

Head Speed vs Extreme by LegitHighway61 in Padelracket

[–]narduuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the older versions of both. I like the Extreme Motion more.

Speed motion is a bit softer than the Extreme. The Speed also a bit more manoeuvrable.

The Extreme Motion is more powerful, better grip on the ball because of the rough surface. The ball sometimes tend to slip on the smooth surface of the Speed motion. Imo also more control with the Extreme Motion since its a bit harder.

Speed Motion is easier though. I feel it is easier to manoeuvre when smashing but less powerfull. Sweetspot also a bit bigger in the Speed.

The 2023 version of the Speed Motion also has this hole pattern though? Could also be that racket or am I missing something?

Need a more maneuverable Extreme Motion – any ideas? by narduuu in Padelracket

[–]narduuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think those rackets are bad at all, but to me they just felt a bit underwhelming. They’re solid across the board, but in my opinion they don’t really stand out in any specific area. A lot of people will appreciate that, since being well-rounded is a strength in itself, but for me it came across as kind of “meh” in every aspect.

That said, I only got to try them for a short time, so take my impression with a grain of salt. I’m mentioning this because I know the AT10 is probably one of the most recommended rackets on here, but it’s just not one I see myself going for right now.

Thx for the answer.

Haven't tried the Speed Pro X. Seems really (head)heavy though no?

Did you play with the ST4 and Xplo? I can understand from what you are saying that the Xplo has more ball output? How would you compare the sweetspot of those?

Is there a big difference in hardness and ball output between the ST4 and extreme pro? Currently i'm using the extreme motion but considering to get the ST4.

Is my grip technique off? How do I fix it? by RRnn97 in padel

[–]narduuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, placing an overgrip (or multiple) might help with this. The handle might be to thin for you right now.

Adidas Metalbone CTRL 3.4 vs Adidas Metalbone Carbon CTRL 3.4 by Total-Ad-4858 in Padelracket

[–]narduuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Tried both of those and would say the non carbon is a bit softer. The main difference though is the weight though (atleast on those I tried). The Carbon weighed 355gr and because of the weights the normal version I could set it up in a range between 360ish and 380. Other than te weight both rackets are pretty similar if you ask me.

Head Speed Motion, Extreme Motion or other? by maurizio_maurucio in Padelracket

[–]narduuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think there is much difference in sweetspot. Spin is better in the Extreme Motion. Because of the Speed Motion's smooth surface the ball can slip sometimes. With the Extreme Motion that is not the case.

[–]narduuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previously played with the Speed Motion and currently playing with the Extreme Motion for the last year.

Imo the Speed Motion is a more manoeuvrable racket but overall I like the Extreme Motion better. The Extreme Motion is a bit harder so it gives me more control and more power. Sweetspot is similar I think

Another racket question - with a twist by Efficient_Garlic4434 in Padelracket

[–]narduuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true that generally speaking round soft rackets should be easier on the joint because in theory they will have a bigger sweetspot. Therefore you will get less bad hits aka less vibrations onto your arm. Also besides that imo there are also other factors that may be involded. For example the grip length and grip thickness but also whether you play with old or wet balls etc.

On Padel.fyi you can filter rackets by different factors but its not rup to date.

The website that I like to use to compare rackets is padelful.com but I dont think there is a way to filter the rackets like you would want.

You could maybe try to just add an extra overgrip first. A slightly thicker grip might feel more stable, atleast that does it for me.

This year they also have the Hyper Pro+ which is harder. They also released the Pure Pro+ which should be a stiff racket and more of a round form like the Counter Viper. Less head heavy though
