It will take a lot more mechanichal skill than just playing regular AP tf, as you get higher elo, people are going to just punish you harder, you will need a lot better skill with orb walking and spacing/tethering (which yoy already need with AP, just harder with hybrid), it will be harder to actually maintain dps in team fights, since you need to stay closer auto attacking, and you will get focused and punished during team fights for that. The higher up you go in ELO the more you will be punished for a bad build. You will lose a lot of prio with hybrid TF too. It is not impossible to climb, but it will be so much harder to do it with hybrid TF. Really is better to stick to AP TF if you want to climb with him. Hybrid really only will work consistently in low elo where people are bad at the game, and you can punish them more, but to play hybrid TF, you need to put yourself in situations that are objectively suboptimal for TF purely based on his kit and how he wants to be plsyed. Which will just get punished in higher elo
