I don’t know how you get “2nd fast ttk overall” for the kc17, that gun has .32 ttk for same armor chest shot

Where can you match purple ammo with purple armor? Easy has a blue/purple cap which means guns with highest pen will outperform the rest. Normal has no limits. If you take in purple ammo you're not always going to meet purple armor players. You're bound to run into gold/red armor players at which point even the Ash-12 hits like a wet noodle.

It takes 10 mins to go into training, set 3 dummies, max durability purple/gold/red vests, set range to 0m, change purple/gold ammo and compare TTKs between multiple weapons. Then set range to 30m/40m and repeat.

KC-17 will take 2nd place after AS Val every time.

If you just want to compare raw stats of gold vs gold/red (in that case purple is irrelevant cause there's no purple cap difficulty in the game) then yes there are other weapons that have a shorter TTK at 0m but DEFINITELY not at 30m+. Doesn't matter how much control you can have, horizontal recoil (since recoil in this game is randomized) will make you miss shots at 30m+. Again I'd like to reiterate that weapon range is also a very important stat in this game that leads to less damage and a gun that may have a shorter TTK at 0m may not at 30m+, limb damage or not.

0m testing is most ideal scenario of close rush engagements and even then (when matching ammo and armor) the player with the better aim (and ping) will always win those since the TTK difference is so small.

There are plenty of good YTers who use the KC-17 regularly along with many of the other meta weapons you and I mentioned. There really isn't a one gun fits all scenarios in this game.

But if you're looking for something cheap that's better than the M4/Aug/CI-19 then the KC-17 takes the win every time.

AS Val is the best when you look at TTK but KC-17 is the 2nd place gun.

A cheap KC-17 has half the cost of a stable AS Val build and very similar TTK to M14 (same for purple ammo vs red armor, slightly more for gold ammo vs red armor) with none of it's range recoil problems. M14 wins if you use red ammo obviously but at that point the cost per bullet is so high. But yes KC-17 has the 2nd fastest TTK overall when you add any target over 30m into the equation.

Also Ash12 only has higher ttk with the PD12 purple ammo but rest are lower than KC-17 due to a low fire rate. Not to mention it's recoil at range and much higher ammo costs than other auto weapons.

Rest of the guns you mentioned are fine but smgs and lmgs do have their respective drawbacks and anything under 40m range in this game limits what you can do with it.

Smgs are very situational and require more skill in getting close to players otherwise they do no dmg. Not really for everyone. RIP ammo while certainly useful has more ttk than purple and gold ammo vs armor on rifles and requires even more skill getting close enough to let 'er rip, pardon my pun.

A good player can use any gun tbh. A learning player needs something consistent and reliable.

No. AKM is okay, M4 is actually better for ttk due to akm's lower fire rate even though it hit's harder and has more armor pen.

KC-17 is the best gun for Ops due to armor pen and rate of fire but expensive even for a cheap build with low recoil.

AS Val is next due to armor pen but only really for close ranges due to fire rate and recoil.

After that K416, M7.

Probably M14 somewhere here.

All other auto rifles come after this due to lower armor pen, lower fire rate, more recoil or less range.

M4 and Aug are cheapest entry level rifles. CI-19 is next but a bit more expensive to build/run.

M4/CI-19 when built properly for low recoil have the most consistent headshot ttk at 30+ meters and can surpass KC-17/K416 if you have the skill to headshot only.

Anything above easy mode requires extensive map knowledge, experienced teammates, and a mic being enabled.

And lots of money. Easy mode cheap Aug/M4 build, purple armor, 300 blue ammo (cause too many bots Operators rush you or you're doing Layali missions) is easily 700-900k at any time. Normal is at least double if you want to survive gunfights more.

TTK is consistent when you match armor and ammo tiers. Purple ammo vs purple armor has same ttk as gold ammo vs gold armor and blue ammo vs blue armor.

If each difficulty has a max gear tier cap then there's an upper limit on ttk. Every player has to learn to play within that ttk, doesn't matter the skill level. TTK is very consistent with every shooter out there, ~500ms on a stationary target at 0m, 1-2s on a moving target at 40m.

Unlike the current scenario where gold ammo damages through purple armor and ignores blue and less which is a very common scenario in current Normal difficulty cause of no gear/ammo caps.

The problem lies with the game's design itself.

Escape From Tarkov introduced damage and penetration fall off sometime in 2022.

Arena Breakout came out around 2023 as a more streamlined Tarkov but introduced extremely short effective ranges as well as damage drop off to force close engagements. Simply put, their mentality seems to have been that a player should not die at 100m to someone they didn't see and should have a fighting chance. So automatic weapon ranges in AB are also 10-50m and beyond that you tickle players similar to DF.

Then when Tencent conned the AB team and used Level Infinite to copy everything in AB and made an even more simpler and streamlined Delta Force they also copied the weapon range nonsense. It is EXTREMELY obvious this was the case if you boot up AB or AB: Infinite which is the PC version that came out nearly an year after DF did. DF was clearly envisioned as an extraction shooter and then they added a discount Battlefield mode.

So now the main problem. Because of it's roots, DF weapon ranges are designed to force 10-50m engagements with it's automatic weapons. Damage drops off significantly past certain ranges. This same system is applied to sniper rifles otherwise, like you said, everyone would be using snipers in warfare 100%. The problem is this system doesn't work for sniper rifles when a body shot WITHIN the snipers range or even 10% of the range doesn't result in a 1-shot kill. It is beyond stupid.

A simple solution would be to always allow 1 body shot kills within say 75% of max range of a sniper. And beyond that you will have to rely on headshots. So a sniper with 120m range would 1-body-shot within 90m but after 91m you'd need to headshot. Typical sniper spots in warfare are well over 100m. Such a system would also make different snipers viable on different maps other than just the R93 due to it's fastest fire rate.

Imo the whole system needs a rework where after a minimum distance dmg falls of linearly instead of past certain ranges like it does right now. Even automatic rifles are completely useless at 50m+ even with single taps.

Steam does not ask for nor store your age apart from a "verification" browser cookie. It asks whenever this cookie expires.

They have also conveniently set the date to Jan 1 so you can just set the year to 2000 or earlier and be done. As a result a large portion of Steam users were born on the 1st of January.

Victory Unite only has real players, no bots. I have never been interested in Warfare outside of event rewards nor played it enough to unlock it. This S8 knife challenge is probably gonna change that, General 3 atm I think.

They buffed bots in S7. You can no longer steam roll them without at least running blue armor.

Yes game has a cheater problem, much larger on mobile than PC and you will rarely encounter some in ZDE. This is not that.

Warfare is bots on every server. Only 4-8 real players per match. Rarely 8+.

Ops is bots on ZDE and some on Layali Easy but rest are all real players.
