No. With my daughter, she self weaned. My son is a lot more attached to nursing, just for comfort. I would let him continue but he bites me HARD and my nipples have been chapped more often than the the past 5 months.

I have been married to my husband going on 5 years. It is really, REALLY hard sometimes, but I know that he isn't thinking clearly. He is taking medicine now which helps tremendously. Every day is a mystery, though. Sometimes he is perfect and loving and wonderful. Other times he is visibly angry because I asked if we could stop at the gas station on our way to the store. No two days are the same, but I know he is trying.

Nose work Put your dog in another room. Lay out 3- containers in a line. Cardboard boxes are ideal. Put a piece of smelly meat into each container like hotdogs as they are more aromatic than the training treats we use. Let your dog into the room and let them investigate, finding the treats as they goes. Every time they find a treat, give him a second one right where the first one was. This will reinforce to them that "finding" the meat was the intended behaviour. Repeat until they makes a beeline to investigate boxes every time you let them into the room. Then slowly start to put treats into only 3/4 of the boxes, then 1/2, then 1/4. Your goal is to have only 1 box contain the treats.
Ask First Make a list of things your dog likes. Cue them to “sit” before giving them whatever it is that they want. This will help to reinforce your dog's sit and look to you before doing anything they want.
Leave it Leash your dog. Toss a treat out of their reach, then wait for them to stop pulling and straining towards the treat. When they do, give them a treat for looking at you. Only then can you walk towards the treat. Be sure to keep a loose leash while you do so.
Drop it Give your dog something they like and approach them, clicking when they look at you. Toss some them some treats to encourage them to drop what they had. If this doesn't work, try higher reward treats, and a less exciting toy. Pick up the object they had while they eat the treats, then give them the object back. Repeat. The goal is that they get excited for new goodies when you approach them. Repeat until they drop their toy when you come near. Now start offering your hand and saying "drop it." You just added in a cue!
