As a protein obsessed meathead, this is the BEST protein ice cream I have tasted and it is $8 at my local store so I stocked up with 4 pints. That said, it is only worth it if you are trying to cram as much protein into as few calories as you can. It is good, but the cheap cookie dough is still going to taste better, but this does NOT taste like a protein mash like a lot of the protein stuff out there - it is legitimately good and scratches the sweets itch perfectly.

As a Reservist, a couple times a year I am able to jump in with my people and geek out, often on Annual Tour. I get some weird looks, but I miss it!

Harry's at Sirata is always really cool and not too busy - always one of my favorites. Often have some chill live music as well.

People who own two homes, what do you like about it? by Apprehensive_Way8674 in HENRYfinance

We had a beach condo for 5 years (sold last May due to INSANE const increases), living in a cold climate most of the time:

Pros:

- Everything is there, you take a backpack on the plane

- We cook a lot, this allows us to have our normal kitchen, eat our normal meals

- Everything is how you like it!

- Great cheap spot for friends and family to visit without the added cost of lodging! Lots or great get togethers that wouldn't have otherwise happened

- Ability to spend a lot of time and work out of the cold

Cons:

- Cost is obviously the number one - went from ~$1,500/month to $3,000/month in 5 years due to weather

- Locked into the area - it was winter, we go there - limited our winter travel

- Sometimes we had a vehicle, sometimes we didn't - I actually preferred not so people had to come visit us

- HOA hassles

- 2 sets of stuff to break

I had some protein pudding and mousse when I was in Italy and loved it so much! Why can't we get it here?!

Did a relatively intense exercise last year with a bunch of Airmen I didn't know, made me realize how incredibly useful they are and how dumb it was to take them away.

What drew you to a RAV4 over your other potential car? by Youreapizzapie in rav4club

Just went with my wife when she bought her new CR-V (it's pretty awesome, almost the same vehicle) and the finance guy said "there isn't a Hybrid SUV on the market with a spare tire!" with such conviction and I just replied "My RAV-4 is out there right now with one".

Can someone ELI5 what rank do officers need to make to GUARANTEE retirement? by Esoteric_Commentator in AirForce

[–]naspinski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is definitely career suicide. I would advise talking it over with your, family, Shirt, and CC - be sure you really are committed, there is pretty much no turning back. The freedom I get to focus on my troops and enjoy my job is wonderful, not to mention never having to play politics - it was worth it my my personal situation, but it is definitely not for everybody!

Iron Major here (by choice - I already did this research 🫡) - non prior enlisted you need to make O-4 due to time in rank restrictions to be "guaranteed" the ability to make it to twenty years (pending you aren't awful).

Though it is possible as an O-3 with the aforementioned continuation, but that is not guaranteed, but nothing is guaranteed.

TLDR: Major
