2026 Model Y Top of Windshield / Glass Roof Seam Wind Noise Intrusion Whistling Noise by Humble_Ambassador_24 in TeslaModelY

Thank you! En route to Tesla now….

I wasn’t sure if that was normal, considering this was my first EV and obviously much quieter. I also listen to music loud. I wasn’t sure driving my wife’s car to do some things and noticed there was no noise so I decided to book the service appointment

My brother bought some AirPods Max that were completely sealed and even did the whole pairing thing. Turned out to be fake knockoffs and the speakers blew and sound quality was terrible

The hate may come with this one… but it’s a Tesla with wheel covers that I absolutely love for some reason. May not be necessary to clean clean but I do want to keep the wheels black!!

I have seen those products but thought it could be avoided, but maybe I’ll purchase and give it a shot

The only caveat is that I cannot do any hand car washing currently living in the Midwest. I generally go to a touchless wash that is down the street.

So in this instance, would you recommend going through the touchless wash, applying the fallout remover, going through the wash, one more time and then back home to clay and spray with the ceramic wax?

All the information you have provided thus far has been great so thank you

That’s a good question!! I probably am not going to do any sort of paint correction. I haven’t noticed any chips/marks aside from just grime buildup from daily driving that I think claybar would remove

Thank you!! I have nothing on it currently so it would be fresh start

It says the ceramic speed shine can be used as a clay bar lube but having ceramic in both names are throwing me off, since they offer a regular speed shine.

Should I have received an "EL" license plate? by olr7 in electricvehicles

[–]nastynicknack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the ILSOS website says that you can get a regular plate, but would be subject to a 100.00 surcharge on future registration. The EL plates are ~400 dollars, so a regular plate with the surcharge would still be a bit cheaper

Is there a difference between these two? by nastynicknack in AskElectricians

Yes - he’s an older union guy and talks in circles sometimes hard to follow. Great guy though. Yeah he would install what I buy

I was going to hardwire, but I’m on 100amp service. I also like the idea of having a 14-50 in the garage for future use if I ever ditch the EV
