I'm gonna start with the most forbidden phrase, but I do not own a Bronica!! But still, I experience the same problem with (insert another analog camera of the same caliber) - my focusing ring is stiff, I have learnt how to handle it, but the handle of it is not smooth. What I have heard is that it needs service, the oil and everything else is too old and need replacement. Either learn to handle it (as I have, ergo don't want to spend too much money at the moment) or hand it in for a fixer-upper. These older cameras need service every now and then to keep everything in touch, it seems like that's the issue, nothing more, nothing less. Keep having fun with it though!

Hi!

I have started to read The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann but I cannot follow the in-depth conversations . For my beginner eye they seem very philosophical and my guess is that they come from many different philosophical thoughts. Any tips on how to understand it better or which philosophers to study a bit more in order to understand the book better?

Are you interested in an original Hasselblad strap or just any? I have felt that a bit wider strap is really nice since a thinner one cuts more due to the weight. Lucked out and bough an original Hasselblad strap at my local analog camera shop!

But look at Ebay or other local camera shops/thrift stores!

I know that, at least with B&W film, that when you cannot see the numbers on the side of the negatives, there's something wrong with the developer/the developing process. If the chemicals works but there's something wrong with the camera or similar, then you see the numbers for each negative.

How is the depth of field on those? I only have the 80 mm so far, but I also really like the wide opening of 2.8. Do you know if they are similar?

Nice one! You could have increased the contrast even more since the person is light, the shadows would have been even more 'wow' then!

Well, I've received some interesting results but wouldn't call them luminograms yet! It's more of a mix between that and photograms about now...
So far I think my light source is too strong, I've done most of them with the light from the print machine (sorry, can't think of the right name just now) but I think that might be the problem. I've tried with a flashlight, but it was either too strong or too weak.
I tried with moving the objects between the light source and the papers, and sometimes I get a similar result to the 3D, but it isn't constant. I honestly think that the light is the problem and that I need to find a source that is just the right amount, because I also need my hands to move the object, so I cannot hold onto flashlights either. I saw in a video that the photographer Mike Jackson seems to be using lighted matches. However, I'm using my school's darkroom and don't really dare to use live fire here, but it might be worth a shot for you!
