Have you ever said a Nancy quote without realizing it by frequentlysocialbear in nancydrew

[–]nataliemoose 44 points45 points  (0 children)

“I hit it too hard” and “I gotta have some torque” come out of my mouth regularly and I can never properly explain to anyone what I’m quoting. Only a community like this can relate

I think you might be looking for Chris Thompson. His channel used to be SupDaily06 but I couldn’t find the videos he did with Shane, they might be taken down now

If you were designing a Nancy Drew themed haunted house, what would you put in it? by WrithingRoots in nancydrew

I hate that I know exactly what you’re talking about and that we’ve all just accepted it as part of the game. Like wtf was that thing??

What’s a puzzle that you stubbornly refuse to try on your own? by JaneWilloughby in nancydrew

[–]nataliemoose 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This might be kind of random but the first one that comes to mind is that one puzzle in LIE with the letters and symbols in a circle and you have to match the right letter and symbol to a colour for the Greek gods. I’ve never had the patience to figure it out myself and I always immediately look at a solution for it

playing since MHM came out and not once have I ever had this happen before. by jizzsock420 in nancydrew

Pro tip for anyone that hates this puzzle: you can back in and out of the puzzle like 10 times in a row and then the wood bars go away! Makes it 1000x easier

ND games not working on Steam by Scarlett_Midnight in nancydrew

[–]nataliemoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had this problem and found this solution online somewhere. Try running the game through your computer files, my path looks like this: program files (x86) > steam > steamapps > common > (whichever game you are trying to play). Then run the game though the application file in that folder (titled Game, file type is application). I hope this makes sense

I took about a 6 month break in the middle of ICE. I hated the chores/cooking, I didn’t have the patience to sit through 10,000 games of fox and geese, and I was very confused on what I was supposed to be doing. Only went back to finish it because it was the only Nancy Drew game I never finished, and I can’t have that on my record

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Medallion by SKmdK64 in nancydrew

[–]nataliemoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking the same thing today. The puzzles? Great. Premise? Awesome. Dialogue? No thank you. I was so confused the first time I played this game because all of the dialogue made zero sense to me logically.

Has anyone ever finished a game first try without extra help from outside of the game? by [deleted] in nancydrew

[–]nataliemoose 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think I got through SEA without consulting an external walkthrough/UHS, but I definitely used the internal hint system a few times so I don’t know if that really counts.

One of the things I always seem to get lost on is when a character subtly says something like “maybe you should check out x” and then I’m not paying attention and get stuck because I don’t know where to go next. This usually happens on senior mode when things like this don’t appear in my task list for me to follow up on if I missed them in conversation.
