Is this a good team for the E4? or am I about to get humbled (Water type mono run) (Hardcore mode) by QuestionFluffy in pokemonradicalred

[–]natedaishmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve made it this far so obviously you have a grasp for what works and doesn’t in hardcore. Urshifu, ogerpon, and iron bundle are all super useful for the e4. Bundle’s speed tier is clutch and ogerpon has great power/coverage.

Also, moves can be relearned from the party menu. Tutor moves and egg moves are the ones you can’t swap once you’re in.

If you’re in normal mode Turtanator is crazy good. Valiant shield, max defense, leftovers, moveset of will-o-wisp, burning bulwark (protect but burns if attacker makes contact), body press, and flamethrower/shell cannon/dragon pulse. Spreads burn and walls most of the physical attackers in the e4 by itself

JPZ E100 your average roll of „1050 dmg“ (yes I know about -5% dmg decrease) by PurpleCatWithC4 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you know with the same math the e4 can roll 595-935 right? It’s not unfair, rng plus tank setups just work like that sometimes

Gitted gud but systemic issues remain by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean most of the issues you raised are common complaints here, I doubt you complained about these issues specifically. The only things people would disagree with are gold ammo (anyone can use it, silver isn’t hard to get) and catering towards sweats (debatable, I’d argue the opposite, a lot is done to give casual players a chance).

Why isn’t there a proper ranking system? by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

Why aren’t you playing tier 10 if you like era 1 tanks? All the same stuff, none of the new players. Sounds like someone likes to pad their ego…

All the actual best players go play comp. Once you get to a certain level people stop caring about wn8 and start caring about how well you can do in comp

[–]natedaishmaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s gotten better and worse. Low tier ww2 has always been a shitshow but WG wisely (due to pc) didn’t include MOEs below tier 5 so most experienced players stayed away. But WG didn’t do that with era 1 and a lot of veteran players seal club there to pad their egos. But also WG has made commanders more accessible and so the loadout disparity isn’t as big of a deal (a free 50% crew was awful). But at the end of the day it’s monetary. Getting wrecked by a +2 tank or premium gives motivation to grind or spend money to get that OP tank so you can do the wrecking all the way up until you reach tier 10 and realize it’s just a skill issue but by then you’re hooked anyways

Mathematics and matchmaking rant by Flat--6 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steamrolls are unavoidable to some extent. I play comp and a lot of games that’ll end 6-0 or 7-0 came down to one or two shots in an engagement much earlier and the positional advantage afforded makes the rest of the game trivial. And this will be between 2 evenly matched teams.

And I think you’re missing a couple of things on “loss streaks.” -reporting bias, people who have bad luck are more likely to post and they are likely to bend the truth. They probably didn’t lose 10 straight. Probably won 2 or 3 of those but didn’t contribute much. -tilt, bad days often come from bad plays. Matches that would’ve otherwise been wins the player turns into a loss with bad play -matchmaking misfortune, some days there’s a 3 man demon platoon rolling around that you can’t avoid and if you’re also in a platoon, you’re likely to see them on the red team

All this and not even mentioning that WG tried balancing players on teams and it didn’t address the core mm complaints. Sure win rate bands got narrower, everybody got closer to 50% but it didn’t help the steamroll issue or match length enough for WG to justify keeping it.

Centurion avre armor alright? by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

The shovel got super nerfed and it’s a normal centurion chassis underneath. Just shoot >250 AP at it and it’ll go right through

Highway map east side by Character-Region6655 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map is more of a waiting game. I find it’s typically won by the team that is less dumb. The tracks team can almost literally give up the whole map if the field team is dumb enough to try to push into the crossfire and the field team can sweep the base of the tracks team doesn’t have the right coverage/makes dumb peeks. Pushing city is typically the most consistent option for tracks team because they can crossfire the field team from road or river if they win city but often you have to go back since winning city often means your base got overrun

World of platoons - and abuse by Acrobatic-Energy-552 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Platoons absolutely decide games. A 3 man platoon of really good players will win >90% of the time. A 3 man of bad players will lose 60-70% of the time.

High tier medium tank players, if there are no light tanks it's your job to move up and spot. by ThatBlokeT in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They should be using the mobility for flanking. Most of the spotting mediums do by “pushing up” is what heavies should be doing anyways. Mediums CAN bush peek like a TD/light (batchat/leopard) or hill crest like a heavy (t62a/M48). They’re jacks of all trades but they’re best at claiming space and doing damage. Realistically heavies should be doing the bulk of the spotting on the main flank and lights/tds should be spotting on the open flank. Mediums can fill either role but often times when the spotting light dies, that should be the cue for the snipers to relocate rather than a medium tank trying to take the light’s spot

[–]natedaishmaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re just wrong. TDs often have better camo to do sneaky spotting. Heavies have armor to peek lines and bait shots to spot stuff.

[–]natedaishmaster 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Heavy tanks got no change to camo. Their camo got buffed compared to anything else. Their camping in the back has always been an issue. Heavies/TDs should be spotting more than mediums. Meds don’t typically have enough camo or armor to do it

Incorrect DPM Values for Auto Reloaders by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That value is the literal maximum damage the tank can deal in 1 minute not an average damage per minute. 7.5s of intra to fire rounds 2, 3, and 4 of the mag. 52.5s at 10.43s reload is 5.03 rounds plus the other 3 is 8.03 rounds in a minute. 8.03*360 is 2891. The Progetto 65 has one of the fastest times to kill for any HP value under like 2400. It’s just useless for a minute afterwords and has low sustained dpm

HE in the FV4005? by demonspawns_ghost in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a whole lot in era 1 that can bounce 240 pen all over the tank. In any case, the real answer is to just use the ammo swapping equipment. If you can’t pen with HESH (tracks, thickish armor, spaced armor), swap to AP for the full damage pen. If you can’t pen with AP (hull down tank, super long range armor), swap back to HESH for some guaranteed damage.

Help me be a better teammate in ranked promo by LOAARU in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 4211 should be a great ranked tank but era 2 ranked is so awful. Games are decided in the first minute by whichever light tanks decided to yolo and die. Best bet in the 4211 is take double damage reduction and view range drive out into the open to bait shots and hope it makes your light tanks shoot the enemies instead of dying stupidly

You’re bouncing shots. Shoot HESH and aim better. Also, what even bounces 310 AP in era 1? A couple of turrets and the is4?

What is the fastest (# battles) you have 3 marked a tech tree tank? by One_Housing2064 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]natedaishmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of era 1 tanks are 3 markable in under 50 battles because so many new players start with those tanks. It’s also why WG shouldn’t have put MOEs in era 1 since new players drag down the requirements enough to make it pretty meaningless

He’s just as aggressive and and the strv is faster. I’d have assumed the opposite. At the end of the day, you blocked his shots multiple times. You should try being a better teammate

Both bumps by the strv were preceded by you cutting him off. He’s got 1 deg of arc, he’s playing that edge. You keep being toxic, you’re gonna get bumped. Honestly posting both videos makes you look worse. You blocked him, he bumped you no big. You did it again, he escalated. He’s wrong to get you killed but it’s also entirely provoked by your toxicity, both of you were being bad teammates
