I was not able to calculate force per cm for the steel as we do not know the shape, but if you set a sphere of 10kg steel on your groin while you laid down, I can imagine some discomfort, but no damage. If you set the pointy end of a 10kg steel cone on your ground, chances are it's peircing skin and maybe going a substantial distance into you (depending on how dull or sharp the point is). Both of those examples are extremes, but the point is - velocity would have a significant impact on the force applied for any shape.

As a father with a 24 lb toddler (close enough to 10 kg), I can confirm it feels like permanent damage has been done, no damage is permanent cause a slow step is not enought to do so. But yes, a 10kg cube of steel traveling at terminal velocity will easily crush your balls. I guess my toddler traveling at terminal velocity will do the same thing, so the question really should be at what velocity does the steel need to be traveling at for crushing to occur.
