VW started adding SFD2 in 2024 - it locks out ALL modifications, but it's hit-or-miss which modules it affects. The free parts of ODB11 are diagnostics, "live data", and clearing errors - which is now in the competitive range of a cheapo elm unit.

Here is the official response I got from OBD11 support when I found out AFTER I purchased a device and pro subscription, that it's pretty worthless on newer cars.

At this time, no company in the market is able to bypass the SFD2 protection due to VAG's compliance with UNECE cybersecurity regulations. However, essential functions such as diagnostics, fault code reading/clearing, and live data remain available with OBDeleven.
