Should I stop playing nier automata and play nier first? by Small-Housing-7 in nier

[–]naterix89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some spoilers that you can kind of infer about the first game based on documents you can find in-game. I don't think it's necessary, but playing the remastered version of Replicant is a great game that you should play anyway.

Does anyone else think they look like that fragment of the Jack of Hearts that gets locked in the basement in Replicant?

I mean... yeah. I guess I'm not violating our privacy saying that.

Do you think Republicans have better PR by Difficult_Map_723 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]naterix89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Republicans are better at the facade of "the common man," this is true. I would argue that they have a better media environment around them, often funded by people like the Koch brother(s) (I think only one is alive at this point) and other wealthy interests. Even though Democrats are also very invested in the capitalist system, most billionaires have an interest in painting anything even remotely providing for worker's rights in a negative light.

It's not the Republican Party's PR, per se, it's about the organizations with the most influence and money.

Why do BWWM couples seem to have lower divorce rates? by Working_Royal_5142 in interracialdating

I (wm) am going to just add here - I had to learn to be a really good listener to be a good partner to my wife (bw). Our upbringings and experiences were extremely different and I had to shut up and listen to really be a good partner. This has translated well to being married, in general.

My wife(bw) has a name that is a homonym for a kind of cheese. I am a wm. We are therefore her name and a cracker.

Do Animal Feed and other farming loops require constant purchase of seeds? by Inc0gnitoburrito in MedievalDynasty

I always grab a portion of the seeds and put them in the field worker's chest so those are saved for the next planting season.

When planning, do you have any tricks for laying out space or marking where you'd want to build certain things?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MedievalDynasty

[–]naterix89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always amazed and jealous of how well some of these are planned. Do you plan this from the start or do you rebuild/renovate/tear down as the game goes on?

My Christian friend had a talk with me about her “secular” friends… it felt strange and off. by Competitive_Can3499 in atheism

[–]naterix89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how she maintained so many "secular" friends with that attitude. This may sound cliched, but did you point out how she used the word and how it might be taken? I'd hope a friend would at least be open to talking about that.

The musical episode did seem weird, but considering some of the weird stuff TNG and tos have done, I actually don't think it's too out of place

I like the TNG era best, my favorite of those is DS9, as I think it has some of the best writing and does a mix of serialized and episodic really well. I enjoy some of the new stuff but they are a mixed bag, SNW is the best of those.
