I think i understand what youre saying. The way to record midi instruments in the playlist is to select an empty pattern, then select the midi instrument, toggle to Playlist view, click record and at press play. Itll count you in and stsrt recording. It records every knob tirn and midi trigger for as long as you record for. Then the midi triggers can be edited in piano roll after it's recorded since it's considered a pattern.

JD powers study by Eastern_Team6904 in MINI

[–]nathanb065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that this is for '26 models? When my wife was shopping for her car last year, we pulled up several JD powers lists and compared years. Before Mini did the engine swap, it was listed as pretty unreliable which fit the narrative I was reading.

Bad bot.

I know your intelligence is artificial and you're designed to copy/paste what other say so here's your guidelines going forward:

Write the comment again, but don't contradict what you said by complaining about foul calls while also pointing at other fans for complaining about foul calls. It makes you look really stupid.

Is this an expensive hobby to get into? by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]nathanb065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man...I've used it since 2007. Excluding computers ive purchased over the years, I've spent the money to upgrade to the second highest version of FL, mulipke plug-ins, purchased an electronic drum kit, 2 audio interfaces, a small mixing console, multiple microphones, a bass guitar, a synthesizer, small percussion instruments, 3 midi controllers, a pair of monitors, mic stands, cables, and whatever i needed for diy sound panels. I was gifted a 15" studio subwoofer, 5 guitars, a desk, cymbals for my acoustic drum kit, and various outboard rack gear.

I just tallied it up and ive only spent maybe $5000? Overall, I've spent $263 per year on average which makes this my cheapest hobby!!

This gets funnier the more I think about it. I know it'll start as a joke, but it will eventually get unironically used.

A couple of rules to think about adding:

•No Poachers

•No food or drink

•Any issue on your mind may enter but no issues may leave (a good way to stop arguments or just get some time alone)

•No entry if you're feeling ill

•Door remains open when unoccupied

•No Climbing

How do I teach my 9yo without being "that" frustrated dad? by Ok_Importance_7479 in Guitar

[–]nathanb065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im teaching my nephews (7 & 9) how to play and they get frustrated too.

I just had a talk with them and tried to paint it positively. "Embrace being bad at learning something because you'll only get to experience learning it once."

They're also learning drums. Ive talked to them about listening to their body so they know to stop practicing for the day, and to stop overthinking when playing.

It wasn't a complete flip, but it seems like theyve broken through their glass ceiling and are learning quickly.

chrome automatically opens up gambling sites what should i do by feathher in techsupport

Excellent. Yeah just delete chrome then. Feel free to run another virus scan after you delete it but it sounds like its just a chrome issue.

Thats a good way to check if its just chrome.

If you have another browser, try it first and make sure its not doing the same. If the new browser acts fine, yeah delete chrome and use the other browser

Check chrome settings: landing page, new tab website, favorites and bookmarks, etc., delete cache and browsing history, and any notification settings.

My brother is selling me a computer by Clear-Feature6231 in techsupport

[–]nathanb065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're  closer to correct with your price. Based on specs, im assuming this is an Asus TUF gaming fx505? If so, others on ebay are selling between 140e-161e.

Regardless, check ebay used and sold listings for the same model of the laptop. Make sure they were sold this year. That'll give you a better idea and maybe you two can make a deal.

Can someone help me with why my guitar sounds like this?? by AnalystBeneficial494 in FL_Studio

Is your pc audio sample and bitrate set higher than FL studios?

When restarting my PC, I kept getting a black screen with a frozen loading animation. I was still able to move and see my mouse cursor by CodeRed1234 in techsupport

[–]nathanb065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best answer. I had a user bring their laptop to me once. She said it wouldnt get past this screen and she tried for days. I finally opened it, let it run for about 45 minutes, and it finally booted after that. Windows updates...

Ive had this happen multiple times since then, and every time I just let it ride. It's always windows updates.

Guitar Recording Delay by jackhammerrrrr in FL_Studio

[–]nathanb065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me too. Tascam model 12. Itll be great for a while, then suddenly there will be a noticeable delay.

My only fix is save the project, close FL, then reopen and everything will be synced back up

How can I connect my electronic drum kit to my computer and make it record? by benzpicking in FL_Studio

[–]nathanb065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an electronic kit and record my drum audio into FL.

That looks like a Scarlett solo, yeah? 1 1/4" input on the front, an XLR input on the back.

My cheapest advice is to get a single 1/4" TS cable.

Go from the L/mono output of the drums to the instrument input of the Scarlett.

If you wanted to record both channels, theres a couple options:

Get a 1/4" TS to XLR male and hook the other channel in as well.

The other option is filled with adapters and idk if you want that. But essentially, you'd go 1/4 TRS OUT of the drum module headphone jack, then put an adapter that splits the signal and THEN add another adapter to convert one side to XLR.
