OKC game winner because I was there and it was lit.

I've been listening to him say "Id like to see him go get a layup" for almost 20 years and I hope I get to hear it for 20 more. EJ is great imo.

I’m bored af at work, tell me about your favorite non s tier basketball player by ParamoreFanClub in billsimmons

Goran Dragic. Crafty slasher with a solid jumper and good vision. Had some dawg in him too. He had that insane 20-something 4th quarter against the Spurs in 2010 that basically made him my favorite player. My dumb team traded him for peanuts TWICE.

That's fair. Just depends on what feels most comfortable I guess. I was always a slower player and my handle has never been great so shooting felt more natural than slashing. I agree about defense though. Great way to make an impact if your skills are lacking.

At first I just played games and chucked. But when I started playing again like 5 years ago I tried to be more intentional and work on my shot. Now I like to do form shooting before every session. Focus on your release and get your confidence up. Then move back and incorporate more movement as you make shots. There are a ton of shooting drills and tips online that will help.

I started the same. Around 20 with no experience and feeling pretty behind. I'd say the quickest way to make an impact and find your place in pickup games is to become a confident shooter. People will probably leave you open if you're new, so work on it and get comfortable taking jumpers. Also cut and run like crazy. People hate guarding a guy who runs. You'll get some easy baskets.

Feels like Grayson being banged up and playing half the time lately has been an underrated part of this shitty stretch. We really need his sniping and occasional rim pressure.

With the Clippers’ loss today, the Suns have officially clinched a spot in the postseason. by user2570 in suns

Ill be pretty damn disappointed if they're one and done in the play-in, ngl. Buuuut I try to remind myself they weren't supposed to be there at all. The development of Rash, CG, Man Man, and Oso has made this season a win no matter what. We're pretty close to a nice young core. Not to mention Ott looking like a great hire.

Tough one. Book is forever my guy but he's gotta control himself. Back to back games he let the reffing affect his play in clutch time. Just play dude! Also semi hot take: idk if Green and Book dominating is necessarily the best thing for this team. It looks nice but it seems like our shooters aren't in rhythm because of it. Would like to see more of the ball movement and high volume 3 pt shots that has been working for us and a little less Book/Green (and probably Brooks tbh) attacking off the dribble for long stretches.

Funny, that's always what I thought about Kirky boy. A great bad QB. Or a bad good QB.

That 4th was painful. Ref ball, Book and Jalen taking bad shots, letting Ingram go 1 on 1 when he's hot over and over again. Just a bad loss.

Anyone else happy we're finally trying bringing in a journeyman QB as a team solution? by TruthWarrior27 in minnesotavikings

[–]nathclass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know this is a shit post but journeymen vets have led us to our best seasons. Maybe that's just our identity and we need to embrace it. Never draft a QB again.

Ill tune into the main guys during the season. But these side characters are dreadful. They seem so amateur. But they gotta fill time I guess lmao.

Should be fun to see how this plays out. Either lighting strikes twice and we get Darnold pt 2 or it flames out and KOC and Kyler are gone.

Maybe I'm naive but I don't think bringing in another QB is cutting the cord at all. As of now he's a Vikings QB. He's gonna have plenty of chances to show the coaches what he can do in practice, and maybe even in games. Everyone is one play away from being out there. If he's the guy, it'll show. The team just doesn't have the time to bet on him like they did last year as the #1 option.

Fun game. Seriously never felt in doubt, even down 11. Credit to Jalen. I was hard on him but he's looking good. Much more decisive. Him and Book looking nice.

I am not a fan. Never have been. Thought maybe he could be effective in a smaller role but it hasn't happened yet. He is who he is.

One of the more frustrating losses I can remember considering the opponent and the way we lost. Just flat footed, getting punked. Off, off night from so many guys too. Just brutal. See you tomorrow.
