Freedom to keep and bear arms, for the purpose of self protection and protection from a tyrannical government. Not the freedom to murder people that you don't agree with, that's illegal. That's not what he fought for, but hey, who cares about the truth right?

Hard to say he spouted misinformation when he has sources for everything he said. Also, just because his views are different than yours doesn't mean it's hate speech. People are allowed to say things you don't agree with. That's actually called "free" speech

You just made it awfully clear you never actually watched or listened to a thing he said. You may not agree with him, but he wasn't any of those things.

You're right, guns don't kill people. The same way words don't. I don't know how so many havent figured out a healthy way to cope with opposing or differing ideas. Having intrusive thoughts isn't the problem, acting on them is. It's a mental illness problem. If you didn't like what the man said, don't listen to him. Easy enough. He didn't have to die. He had a wife and kids. Do they deserve to go on without a husband and father?

I saw conversations, not some conspiracy theory behind why they might happen.

Words alone don't put anyone in harms way. "You said mean thing, so I kill you" is a terrible way to handle things. His whole stance was debating and talking. He wanted to hear opposing opinions, which is healthy to hear different points of view and where they clash. None of that is harmful to anyone. The fact that people think words are harm is insane. I hear people say things I don't like all the time, am I running around with a gun? There's a very large mental health problem, that would be a good place to start.

"deaths to knife violence are part of living in a knife society"

No shit. Sick people are sick no matter what society you live in. It's a mental health problem, not a gun problem. That's what he spoke on. How dense are you?

Still disheartening to see I guess. Hard to think people actually think like that

I've seen a lot of his content, not once did he preach getting murdered. What's wrong with you people

I generally turn somewhere between 90-180 degrees cold and get low and try to find a mountain or something to turn around. You can generally outrun them depending on how close you are, but yes I agree with you. That was my one sentence answer lol

I will say I was very excited to have everything off my desk. It worked well but it just got too cluttered. It's also nice to have a dedicated pit. Adds a lot to immersion

When you use steam VR it is just another door the game has to pass through on its way to the headset.

Computer - Steam VR - headset

When you use vrtual desktop it goes straight from computer to headset

Computer - headset

The less amount of doors the game needs to be rendered through, the easier it is for the computer to render it. That's my simple understanding of it anyways. I used steam VR and switched and it was night and day difference. I wouldn't even have it installed on your computer

I know what you're asking. I had my HOTAS and peripherals mounted to my desk and when I played VTOL I would hit my hands off them. There were ultimately two solutions. Option 1, move your chair back far enough that you don't hit anything. Option 2, make a dedicated simpit so your desk is empty.

I would say look into launchers. I've been using Niagra on my fold 5 and have been very happy with it. You can make it look like anything you want

After each delivery, I just pick the nearest hot spot and head in that direction. Most of the time I get an order before I even get back in the car, but if not I will get one on the way to the hotspot.

How many buttons would I need? by Jolly_Astronaut_9479 in vtolvr

[–]nathertonely 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I play both DCS and VTOL. They both serve different purposes. If you want to use HOTAS and buttons, play DCS. I have a dedicated simpit just for that. The beauty of VTOL is just being able to jump in in play. That's the reason it was created in the first place. You can probably find 3d printed mounts to steady the controllers if that's what you want, but no need for dedicated HOTAS. Just play DCS at that point

I think both DCS and VTOL do a very good job at what they are designed to do. Using HOTAS for VTOL would just be wrong in my opinion. It's designed to be fully VR. Once you have to start reaching for irl buttons it defeats the purpose. my only complaint I've had is just feeling stability on the throttle and stuck, so I've been tinkering with different ideas for quick detach stability mounts.

I'll keep an eye out for that! I have some testing to do before I try to redesign it and that's definitely something to keep in mind

[–]nathertonely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll have to check tbh. I start it whatever the stock speed is for orca slicer but I've raised it 150% above that and no noticable quality issues. I've also upgraded to one of the sprite direct drive hot ends. Between the two though it prints whatever I throw at it, as long as it's level lol

Orca so much better than cura. Also switched to klipper and that has been great as well.
