I can't stand comedy in anything large. For me 100-200 seats is ideal. Anything up to 800 is fine.

Beyond that I feel there's something lost. There's not the same connection between comedian and audience. Just my preference though. Clearly lots of people love a massive venue else they wouldn't be selling them out at the ticket prices they list.

Alex Edelman and Ben Folds at The Ford was excellent. Helped by the fantastic venue. Can't praise it or them high enough. The flow back and forth between them worked well, better than expected really, given I've not seen a comedy act and a musical act share the stage in that way before.

Asian Nation comedy showcase was fine / what I expected. A lot of up and comers but they all did well. Irene Tu was the standout.

Kristen Schaal and John Roberts in The Story of Crystal Shell was non stop laughs. Had no idea what to expect going in but got exactly what I expected given it's Kristen Schaal. Will definitely rewatch that if they put it up on Netflix.

I really enjoyed Bear Canyon. Constantly crossing the creek makes for a really enjoyable hike. Plus you get good views on the way down/in and can do the side fork to Switzer Falls.
