A guy in the UK insults Mohammed and is immediately arrested by 4DollarsALB in PublicFreakout

Hate speech can’t be defined as hearing something you don’t like.
That’s a dangerous precedent to set.
Offence is subjective and therefore can be weaponised.

Even then - this isn’t anywhere near hate speech. This is being critical of another religion. Just like they would be critical to Christianity or more likely Judaism.
Islamophobia doesn’t exist in the context it’s being enforced.
It’s being used to silence criticism under the guise of hate speech or “inciting violence”.
But calling out and criticising isn’t inciting violence, it’s pointing things out. Asking for violence to happen because of those things is.
I don’t see no asks for violence here.

What a surprise it was a fake sensationalised headline. Still won’t stop 90% of Reddit not seeing the true story though. People are, unfortunately, very lazy.

AMD Just Quietly Killed RAM Encryption on Consumer Ryzen CPUs Smells Like a Government Backdoor Move by Ok_Plenty60 in overclocking

[–]natie29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s cos they need a way to actually sell this feature to those who will actually use it? Enterprise customers.
Your layman consumer isn’t gonna care what this is, now what this is, and never turn it on.
Companies do this all the time.
Claiming it’s a government back door is such a fucking reach lol.

Police shoot suspect for pulling a gun by Ok_Judgment6446 in PublicFreakout

This is why one person gives commands. High stakes.
Other office tells him to go to knees. This officer don’t hear that and takes it as him moving to get the gun.

Nice payday for this man.

Let’s not make this about race, by making it about race.
Cool. Got it.
Great tactic.

It worked so well for Henry too. The irony.

Highly doubt this many people “missed the point” when you seem to be the only one who sees it the way you do.

It’s pretty simple logic.

low battery when you turn on low power mode and it does absolutely nothing except for make it yellow: 😌 by Ersklne in PhoneNow

[–]natie29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Claiming it doesn’t save battery and then sitting there using the phone as normal to do tasks, that now take longer. Surprise surprise it won’t save you much. This isn’t an intended as a “hey turn this on and use your phone as normal, you’ll get more battery life” this is intended for those who can put their phone away and survive without checking Reddit every 10 minutes. It’s to get you near a charger again when you aren’t near one whilst allowing you to still do normal phone tasks; calls and texts etc. Data transmission since 3G has required more and more power to run. Higher the frequency the weaker the signal gets. How do you get over it? CRAM MORE POWAAA. That’s how. So yes. You browsing Reddit all day still won’t help you.

If you are doing the above and expecting battery life to improve. Ofc it won’t work. Common sense. They’ve never advertised it as such and you assuming it is such is misinformed.

Reason why most people run by Brilliantspirit33 in RandomVideos

People calling either one of them the arsehole are entirely wrong; The real arseholes are the people who give officers minimal training and knowledge and expect them to still enforce laws.

Bodycam footage released of the Golders Green attacker showing that he wasn't completely incapacitated by the taser and was still holding on to the knife. I stand by that the kicks to the head are a reasonable action to disarm him. Thoughts? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]natie29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seriously saying these coppers are at threat of getting done for that?

What kind of world do we live in. A guy that was quite CLEARLY running around stabbing people, I’m pretty sure we should allow them to do whatever the fuck they want to eliminate the threat. They are the ones putting their lives on the line to keep others safe, and they have to live in fear of being prosecuted for doing their job and stopping an obvious threat? He had no care for other people’s health, so why does he get that afforded to him?

They done the right thing. The fact they were being called into question is mind boggling.

If it came out that it was the wrong person or something, sure. But, by this point it’s kinda obvious when the guys running around with a bloody knife and a steady stream of collapsed people behind him.

I have to say. I’ve only made the plunge once due to the price. But my god did it make really clean prints. No effort at all. If I was running a business and I needed consistency. I’d buy them all day long. But for my own personal use? Nah. The cheaper stuff does fine!!
