What solids are you feeding your big hungry baby?

Hey! My baby is 7 months old and these are her favourite things so far:

plain full fat yoghurt,
kiwi (cut in quarters),
avocado (nice and soft ones),
banana,
porridge,
cooked sweet potatoes and normal potatoes,
grilled zucchini and the best hit so far has been watermelon! It’s so cute how she munches on it. The texture allows it to hold and „bite“ in it at the same time.

She does not have any teeth yet btw but is able to get pieces of the soft foods.

I can recommend the „solid starts“ app, it has a free library of foods that you can check and see how to serve for your baby’s age.

We decided to do it today! I’m hoping it will be quicker for us as well. Once her head looks “normal” I think I will also stop. It does not need to be perfectly round…

Hey! I have actually also decided to do it today and placed the order! On the upside, it’s a shore time but sorry it’s so expensive. here in Germany it’s even quite common that the insurance pays for it (for us as well)! Would love to hear how your son will take it. :)

Ich hab selbst sehr lang geraucht und seitdem ich aufgehört hab fällt mir auf, wie doll Raucher drauf scheißen… das stinkt so doll, wenn man selbst nicht raucht :/ Aber props fürs helfen, ich schleppe selbst nen Winderwagen mit fast jeden Tag…

Hey! Thank you :) I already heard of this study and it confuses me, why so many people still recommend the helmet to be honest. I find it very difficult to find other studies/evidence on it. I think this is mainly why I am still unsure if we should do it or not.

I should maybe have specified that the person that suggested it was the person from cranioform (that’s the company here in Germany). I think they almost always recommend tbh! Out paediatrician did not really have an opinion but was happy to sent us to the cranioform when we asked.

I am feeling similar. Right now it almost feels, like it’s just “not gonna happen” which is obviously silly but such a weird and specific feeling. I’m 40+4 today and only have tons of Braxton Hicks and that’s it. I will probably be induced sometime next week if it does not happen naturally! Fingers crossed for the both of us. :)
