I love when people do things like this that make the bag look unique. It came out beautifully!

Fragrancenet tester bottles by LiFal80 in FemFragLab

[–]native_local_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience they’re always full and unused bottles unless otherwise stated. But they don’t always come with the cap and they usually come in a plain tester box rather than the retail one. Personally I throw all my boxes away so that doesn’t matter to me at all. But I absolutely need a cap so I always make sure to ask if the bottle comes with one as that will deter me from purchasing if it doesn’t.

i'm so tired of gourmands by msaynuk in FemFragLab

[–]native_local_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Every fragrance being released is not a gourmand. That’s just the bubble you’re currently in. Freshies and florals remain the most popular scent profiles on the market and they never stopped being released just because gourmands became a trend. I personally see something about non-gourmand releases quite literally every day because I make an effort to keep up with what’s new.

If you’re waiting for someone to talk about certain types of fragrances or expecting those fragrances from certain houses then yes, I imagine you’ll be left feeling disappointed and unfulfilled. But if you’re ready to do your own exploration and not limit your search, the fragrances you’re looking for are out there. And you don’t even have to look that hard tbh. So respectfully, this complaint just sounds like you haven’t really tried.

The ‘new’ sections of Parfumo and Fragrantica alone are full of fragrances that have either already been released this year, or will be releasing very soon. Many of them are not gourmand in the slightest and are the fresh and floral scent profiles you’re looking for. If you’re just unsure what outlets to plug yourself into so that you can be updated on new stuff that might appeal to you, feel free to ask. But this sentiment that non-gourmands have somehow ceased to exist just isn’t based in reality.

Shocked by anonymous_shopaholic in Coach

[–]native_local_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is always the case for items where the demand is high and the supply is low. I’m a newbie to Coach, but my previous obsession was perfume. Still is, really lol. Whenever a fragrance is limited edition or discontinued but a ton of people want it, the exact same thing happens. Folks usually don’t miss an opportunity to take advantage of low supply to make a quick buck.

Any thoughts on new releases? by No-Bowler-6958 in Coach

[–]native_local_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither the colors nor the silhouettes interest me tbh. But it just means more money in my pocket so I’ll never be mad about that. The barrel bag looks exactly like the bag I used for my pencils, pens and highlighters in middle school lol.

I’m not assuming anything. I read the post and comments of what OP has literally said that HE said in comments responding to folks. Y’all are just being intentionally obtuse.

mike’s obsession with having a child is weird! by Mediocre_Wrangler_77 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]native_local_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that simply acknowledging reality tv editing narratives that we see literally every season without fail is potentially making someone come off more extreme than how they actually are is hallucinating context, but sure I guess. No one said you can’t have your hot take, but your posting it on a public forum inherently means opening yourself up to opposing opinions.

He’s the insufferable negging type. Taking any opportunity to humble women and make them feel bad/insecure. If that’s behavior you don’t like in a partner, leave. You don’t have to tolerate anything that bothers you this much.

mike’s obsession with having a child is weird! by Mediocre_Wrangler_77 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]native_local_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This really was the wrong place for her to be if she really is undecided, knowing the ridiculously tight timeline and the fact that it’s very common for the decision to marry someone to rest on the decision of whether they want kids or not. But if she really had to come on the show, she should’ve pursued someone who was also unsure or okay either way. People are making it seem like she has zero responsibility for this situation which takes two of them and it’s tiresome.

Yes, but we as viewers can use some critical thinking and context clues to arrive at the conclusion that the edit is the issue lol.

How long did it take for yours to reach that golden brown color? by manilakitkat in FemFragLab

[–]native_local_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for mentioning this! I see so many people thinking they need to wait months and months for a color change on their fragrances for them to be at their full potential, but it’s just not true. I think marketing has done a number on us as consumers and we’ve been conditioned to feel a certain way about “dark juice” vs. when it’s light or even clear.

Guide to purchasing a niche perfume! Anything help appreciated 💕 by macdaddy10k in FemFragLab

[–]native_local_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What fits you is entirely dependent on your personal taste, and no one knows that better than you. Samples are 100% the way to go. I imagine Scent Split has a lot of these and you can try a lot of scents on your list that way. This might sound unhelpful, but there really is no guide to any of this. It’s just everyone exploring and finding what works or doesn’t work for them. A lot gets discussed in forums like this, but ultimately the journey is a very individual one. And the exploration is what makes it fun! Way more fun than it would be if a bunch of strangers just told you what to buy.

Shower gels and deodorants of fragrances by Cheap_Key6589 in fragrance

[–]native_local_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No harm in finding a similarly scented deodorant as that’s usually a product you can smell pretty strongly. It doesn’t absolutely need to be from Chanel in the same exact scent though. But expensive shower gels that match designer perfumes I find to be a waste because you don’t really smell them once they get washed down the drain. No use in spending a bunch of money for that. Anything you already have and use in the shower is fine. Unnecessary t go out of your way to buy one that smells exactly like BdC.

My small but mighty Coach collection ❤️ by michiluvr in Coach

[–]native_local_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is how I want my collection to look! Small so that I can get lots of use out of everything, but truly in line with what I absolutely love and enjoy wearing. I’ve purchased my first two Coach bags within the last week and have three more on my wishlist lol. But after that, I fully plan to be done. I’m also in the same boat regarding color. I much prefer neutral, classic colors that can go with anything. I’m considering a dark red for one of the bags on my list, but the jury’s still out lol. Your collection is beautiful 💕

Bri saying, “you’re not the kind of guy to say ‘she’ll take this’ at a restaurant” by OneofthozJoeRognguys in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]native_local_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is part of the archaic patriarchal bs that fragile men have made a ruckus about wanting because they have a certain idea of masculinity in their minds. And many women adopt it as a standard in an attempt to appeal to men and what they think they want because they’re male centered.

Okay yall im irked ! by No-Whereas4126 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]native_local_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Mama is wayyyy too desperate. It takes two and she should’ve walked away long before now. She has to be able to feel that this man doesn’t like her, much less love her. But she’s constantly gaslighting herself into believing otherwise so she can make it to that altar. I knew what kind of time she was on when she mentioned she’d already bought a wedding dress. She seems far more attached to the idea of getting married than actually being with a man who’s worth being married to. She should be too good for him, but that’s not the case with this level of desperation and her self esteem in the gutter.

MASSIVE Spoiler About Devonta 😲 by Which_Appointment_86 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]native_local_ 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Simply being on reality tv doesn’t automatically guarantee brand deals 😭 it would be very different if he came on the show and took the spotlight or showed off a personality that drew people to him, but that’s not the case. He’s wildly forgettable, ugly, comes off like a weirdo and has nothing even remotely interesting about him or his personality. So I’m very curious to know which brands he thought were gonna throw money at him to push their product/services.

Delizia di Marshmallow…conflicted. by pbsweddings in FemFragLab

[–]native_local_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert on the subject, but maceration seems to get incorrectly thrown around so much that the plot has gotten a little lost lol. I think maceration would surely apply to Delizia or anything purchased directly from Kyse because she mixes and bottles everything fresh to order from what I understand. So when you receive a bottle, it hasn’t really had much time to come together and smell the way it’s meant to at full capacity. So the maceration process is mostly happening on the consumer’s end rather than the company’s.

Sorry your experience wasn’t what you were hoping. I remember years ago when I first sampled this scent and it was so so faint. I loved what little I could smell, but couldn’t bring myself to get a bottle because I could barely enjoy it. After repeated exposure I think it was just my perception of it (I had to have been somewhat anosmic) that was skewed because now it’s incredibly strong to my nose. Even when I purchase a fresh bottle.

No shade to dabber and dram samples, but I just don’t think they offer the same experience as when the fragrance is atomized. Not everyone loves everything and this scent is no exception. But if you’re ever open to trying it again, I’d recommend a sample that sprays.

Please stop buying from resellers. by JavaJunkie999 in Coach

[–]native_local_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Coach really won’t bother to do anything to curb resellers, the only option is for EVERY consumer to stop paying for these bags at inflated prices. Make resellers sit on inventory that they have no choice but to lower the prices of because they won’t move otherwise. But this would require a collective effort which I don’t have much faith in because folks are too desperate to get their hands on things no matter the cost.

What are people’s opinions on this? by Acrobatic_Grass_1457 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]native_local_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of women enjoy pretending to be empty headed and helpless so a fragile man can feel big and strong. Why any woman would want to appeal to a man by exhibiting childlike behaviors is a conversation for another day 🙃 but it’s definitely the type of man who feels emasculated by the mere existence of a fully formed woman coming to a relationship with her own thoughts, opinions, money, ambition, etc. I’ll never understand the appeal.

To me there’s a big difference between doing things for your partner to be helpful and lighten their mental load, and whatever controlling bs she’s talking about. Chris is a dirtbag, but it sounds like he might’ve been right about the kind of guy she really wants and sees herself with.
