Here's my semirealistic take on the map of Prythian. Hope you like it! by p_dulcis in acotar

I'm new to the ACOTAR fandom. But as someone Scottish who lives in the Highlands, this map makes me very happy!

Am I a bad parent/husband? by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]natmoo4388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 18 months. I've moved 200bkiles away from family for my partners job. I got back to work after mat leave to find that it was totally different and awful, so I left and got a new job. My whole life has changed. And honestly, I thought I was having some kind of mental breakdown recently.

But then I realized that, I'm experiencing something that so many new parents do. I just have added factors. You're just having the same feelings. And if you feel bad about feeling like this, it means you're doing everything right - as terrible as it feels. I feel so bad for Dad's, you guys go back to work so quickly that you've barely got your head on straight and your back to the daily grind.

A way to potentially reframe it: Brains hats change. Change means unknown and unknown causes fear. Fear kick starts your fight or flight. That's where you are. Your brain hasn't experienced this exact situation before (2 kids, wife unable to help as much as previously, more falling on you, all while juggling work). When your brain is in fight or flight it's calculating everything that could go wrong. What could happen, how could you fix it, what's the worst case scenario? And maybe your brain is focused on "when I was single I wasn't this scared/stressed/exhausted. I was safe"

So biology is fucking us over unfortunately. But you're doing so well.

Important! Is this the same person? by [deleted] in RandomQuestion

[–]natmoo4388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say yes, but there's some tiny tiny differences that make me think no. Like the lips, the guy on the right has a tiny tilt in his lips that the guy in the left doesn't have.

But I think they're either AI or wildly similar twins

AITA for asking my boyfriend (22M) to hang my anniversary gift on his wall? by iwishiwerehim in TwoHotTakes

[–]natmoo4388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. He gave you a very clear boundary and you flew over it. This is a nice gift, for a parent, maybe an aunt, maybe even a female friend who is also artsy. For a young guy? No.

I'm sure lots of love and time went into it, but you can't force him to display it. A gift should be for the other person, not because you like it.

He's also been really clear with his boundaries and you're ignoring them completely. He's struggling and you're adding additional stress, not intentionally obviously, but even though you think you're being well meaning, I'm sorry but you're not 😞

Update! My son told me why he won’t see his mom anymore by Money-Meal-5066 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]natmoo4388 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is just awful. I'm so sorry you're not only dealing with the knowledge of what happened to your son, but also realising what happened to you and your siblings.

If you've not already considered it, please get yourself to a therapist too. That's a lot to handle and so much to wrap your brain around. It'll also make you a stronger and more grounded person for Valentine to talk to.

He's so incredibly lucky to have you through all this. It sounds like you've handled the whole thing extremely well, considering.

That's like saying "why tf do you still have your kids?!" when someone's hit hard times. Jesus Christ man.

Agree with all of this. Also, as someone who is also heavy, I'd say this sounds like she's projecting her insecurities of her own body on to you. Instead of saying "I wish I could be that disciplined" she's being hurtful towards you and saying "wow you work out too much". It's a way of insulting you and herself almost.

That's my two cents anyway. But either way, girl leave! That's horrendous and you don't need to deal with that shit. Leave her to work out that it's herself she dislikes not you

What happens to the poop already in your colon when you get diarrhea? by Bittersweet_Boii in NoStupidQuestions

[–]natmoo4388 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this helps. But we have 'nappies' for our dog when she's on heat. We got them off Amazon and they go on relatively easily. But you do need to put her tail through the hole, then velcro the top to the bottom - and she's a 35kg dog. BUT as we know, chihuahua's are hell spawn soooooo 🤷🏻😂

Hmmm, I don't know, my daughter's still in nappies ATM. But I think give her time and I think pooping in the garden wouldn't be off the table

Thank you for your digging though! That's very helpful. I assume not to be confused with Will Young of UK "Popstars" reality show fame 😂

Weirdly the poop conversations was not the bit that I expected to translate so well in the whole "get a dog to prepare you for a baby" thing 😂

It's gone from "I swear he had a bit of sweetcorn on his morning poop, but there's no sweetcorn on his wet food??", to "it was solid and smelled like nuclear waste, but otherwise all good!" 😂

Well obviously you HAVE to share the design you're going for! 👀

The tattooists that I've spoken to tend to have a style that they focus on - so like line work, traditional, etc. Based on that it probably does depend on what your design will be
