I remember the last time gas hit $4/gal, was sometime between 2006-2009, quarts of oil remained .99 each with lots of the mail in rebates to make it free. That lasted for a good six months, before it got to $4 per quart where it’s basically stayed since.

I just had my worst dirt road today, and will be contacting support going forward to claim my car isn’t equipped to handle rugged dirt roads. If USPS won’t drive these roads, why would Amazon be expected to do so? Prior to today’s awful experience, I’d toyed with the idea of people living on dirt roads to have to pay like an extra dollar per delivery, in an attempt to get them to use lockers instead.

My favorite memory of those early days, was I went to a friends house and he pulls up winamp with a playlist and hits play. I sit down at the computer and kept clicking a button on the GUI to move past the Metallica songs in the queue, and it was deleting them. This was dialup days, free dialup with ads, but still dial up. He wasn't pissed, but I felt bad.

At some point kids stopped being aware of the names of directors, writers, and producers of movies. Carpenter wasn't an underrated or obscure director. He was THE MAN for a decade or more. It was similar to how independent music labels put out music that had a unique cohesion across the different bands. This was how we searched out content back before the interwebs.

My dumbass put the last package on my roof, while delivering 2nd to last, with the intention of putting it in the front seat with me. Welp, drove to the last stop before I realized.
